The  Operational  Dispersion  Models  and  their  applications  have  been  described  in  detail
by  Dick  and  Soetje  (1990),  Schönfeld  (1995),  and  Müller-Navarra  et  al.  (1999).
Concerning  the  Operational  Circulation  Model,  technical  reports  have  been  published  by
Kleine  (1993,  1994).  Other  papers  discuss  particular  processes  (Kleine  and  Sklyar,  1995)
and  the  subject  of  model  validation  (Huber  et  al.,  1994,  Müller-Navarra  and  Ladwig,
1997,  Klein  and  Dick,  1999).
This  paper  provides  a  brief  description  of  the  physical  processes  and  numerics  of  the
circulation  model.  Finally,  some  results  of  a  model  version  that  has  been  in  operation
since  01.01.1999  will  be  presented.
