4.2.2.2.3  Checking  track
Process  1.2.3  -  “Checking  track”  models  the  process  of  checking  all  parameters  which  describe  the
track.  Processes  1.2.3.1  and  1.2.3.5  here  show  in  particular  the  local  reference  of  the  track.  The  process ­
  “Check  available  space”  checks  whether  the  planned  track  can  actually  be  followed  (“Physical  navigability” ­
  of  the  track)  bearing  in  mind  the  dimensions  of  the  ship  (data  flow  “Ship  data”).  “Check  navigability” ­
  investigates  whether  the  track  may  be  followed  (“Legal  navigability”)  bearing  in  mind  the  local
regulations  (e.g.  waterway  limits,  traffic  separation  schemes).
