logues. At present publications received every year amount to about 1 300 
titles of periodica (almost exclusively by exchange) and about 1 600 titles 
of books (almost exclusively by purchase) making a total of about 7 500 
copies per year. The stock total is at present about 68 000 volumes. 
In the Archives the figures for the incoming books (mostly of a pure 
nautical character) remained in 1954 almost the same as in the previous year, 
whereas an increase in the receipt of charts, fair charts and others could be 
noted; thus already at the end of October 1954 the figure for charts received, 
by exchange, in the course of 1953 (about 1 900) was surpassed. The number of 
exchange partners has also grown. 
Of the Deutsche Hydrographische Zeitschrift there appeared 3 numbers; in 
addition, outside the series,- a special number, whilst another one is in the 
press (G a b 1 e r : Nautische Technik)"*"^. "Der Seewart" was issued in 6 
parts.
