Short Cruise Report, RV ATAIR, Cruise 0671041-1, Bremerhaven - Thyboron —- Aberdeen, 22 Jul - 14 Aug 2025 
(WGOH) of the /nternational Council for the Exploration of the Seas (ICES). Data from this cruise 
will be used for the respective /CES Report on Ocean Climate (IROC) and reporting under the 
Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MFSD) and the OSPAR protocol. The data will also be 
available for validataition of numerical operational ocean and climate models, to calibrate satellite- 
based ocean colour data, hyperspectral satellite data and downstream products (e.g. Secchi 
depth, turbidity, fluorescence, chlorophyll-a, plankton). Plankton sampling at selected stations 
sontributes to the ENSAD project, which is part of the Environmental Mapping and Analysis Pro- 
gram (ENMAFP, https://www.enmap.org). Pesticide data in air and water will be analysed as part 
of a Joined collaboration between BSH and MPIC/RECETOX. Sampling and data of the Hereon 
group will contribute among others to the MOSES initiative and the RETAKE II project.
