Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Mit sehr dichtem 5-15 cm dicken Eis bedeckt, in der 
Irbenstraße 10-30cm dickes kompaktes Eis. 
Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-35 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Pärnubucht liegt bis 
zur Breite von Kihnu 35-50 cm dickes Festeis. - 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Riga sehr dichter 
Schneeschlamm, Im Fahrwasser liegt bei Mersrags 
15-30cm dickes Eis und weiter zur Irbenstraße 10- 
30cm dickes kompaktes Eis. Weiter im Fahrwasser 
nach Ventspils treibt 5-10cm dickes lockeres Eis. 
Gulf of Riga 
Covered with very close 5-15 cm thick ice, in the 
Irben strait 10-30cm thick compact ice. 
Estonian Coast: In Moonsund there is 20-35 cm 
thick fast ice, in the Pärnu Bay there is 35-50 cm 
thick fast ice up to the latitude of Kihnu. - Latvian 
Coast: In the port of Riga there is very close slush, 
In the fairway from Riga there is 15-30cm thick ice 
near Mersrags and then 10-30cm thick compact ice 
to Irben Strait. Farther out on the fairway to 
Ventspils there is 5-10cm thick open pack ice. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Aus See im Norden und Osten sehr dichtes Eis, im 
Süden offenes Wasser. 
Estnische Küste: In Küstennähe kommt in der 
\arva Bucht lockeres 10-15cm dickes Eis vor, in der 
K«undabucht sehr lockeres Eis und in der Muuga- 
bucht lockeres 5-15cm dickes Eis. In der Tallinn- 
bucht größtenteils offenes Wasser. - Finnische 
Küste: In den Schären liegt Festeis, im Westen 20- 
30 cm, im Osten 20-40 cm dick. Anschließend 
kommt sehr dichtes aufeinandergepresstes Eis, im 
Westen 10-30 cm dick bis zu den estnischen 
Territorialgewässern reichend, im Osten 20-35cm 
dick und bis zur Linie Tallina Madal - Rod$Ser. Im 
Eisfeld kommt es stellenweise zu Eispressungen. - 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
jegt Festeis. Weiter westwärts im Fahrwasser bis 
<otlin 25-45 cm dickes Festeis, es folgt eine mit 
Veueis bedeckte Polynia bis zur Länge des 
_euchtturms Krasnaja Gorka. Weiter bis Seskar sehr 
dichtes 20-35 cm dickes Eis, in dem Stellen offenes 
Wasser vorkommen. Anschließend liegt 15-30cm 
dickes, sehr dichtes Eis bis Gogland. - Die innere 
Vyborgbucht ist mit 30-45 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt, außerhalb davon liegt sehr dichtes 15-30 
cm dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund 25-40 cm dickes 
Festeis und in der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 20-35 cm 
dickes Eis. - An den Küsten der Copora- und Luga 
Zucht liegt 15-25 cm dickes Festeis, in den 
Einfahrten 15-25 cm dickes Eis, in Corpora sehr 
dicht, in Luga zusammenhängend. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 15-30 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, In den äußeren Schären dünnes ebenes Eis und 
\eueis. Weiter außerhalb liegt Neueis und dünnes 
dichtes Eis bis südlich des Leuchtturm Suomen 
Leijona. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 15-40 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon ein etwa 15-25 sm 
breiter Gürtel mit dichtem dünnen Eis und Neueis. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den Schären liegt 10-30 cm 
dickes Festeis. Nördlich von 62°15'N treibt 10-20cm 
dickes, dichtes bis sehr dichtes Eis mit einigen 
dickeren Schollen. Von der Küste auf etwa 10-15sm 
3Zreite kommt Neueis und Eisbrei vor. Bei Västra 
Banken und weiter südlich Richtung Grundkallen 
Gulf of Finland 
At sea there is mostly very close ice in the north 
and the east, in the southern part there open water. 
Estonian Coast: Near the coast there is open, 10- 
15cm thick ice in the Narva bay, very open ice in 
the Kunda bay and open, 5-15cm thick ice in the 
Muuga bay. In Tallinn Bight there is mostly open 
water. - Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there 
is fast ice, 20-30 cm thick in the west and 20-40 cm 
thick in the east. Off the fast ice there is 10-30cm 
thick, very close rafted ice reaching out to the 
Estonian territorial limit in the west and 20-35 cm 
ihick very close and heavily ridged ice up to the line 
Tallinna madal - Rod$Ser in the east; in the ice field 
there is pressure in places. - Russian Coast: In 
the harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast ice. 
Farther westwards on the fairway 20-45 cm thick fast 
ice occurs to Kollin, then a Polynia, covered with new 
ice occurs up to the longitude of the lighthouse 
Krasnaya Gorka. Then very close 20-35 cm thick ice 
up to Seskar with some areas with open water. 
Farther out 15-30cm thick very close ice to Gogland. 
- The inner Vyborg Bay is covered with 30-45 cm 
thick fast ice, farther out there is very close 15-30 cm 
thick ice. - In Berkezund there is 25-40 cm thick fast 
ice, in the entrance there is very close 20-35 cm 
thick ice. - Along the coasts of the Luga and 
Copora Bay there is 15-25 cm thick fast ice, in the 
entrance the ice is 15-25 cm thick, with very close 
ice in the Corpora and consolidated ice in the Luga 
bay. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 15-30 cm thick 
fast ice. In the outer skerries there is thin level ice 
and new ice. Farther out thin close ice and new ice 
to the south of Suomen Leijona lighthouse. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 15-40 
zm thick fast ice, farther out there is an about 15-25 
nm wide belt of close thin ice and new ice. - 
Swedish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 10-30 
cm thick fast ice. North of 62°15'N there is 10-20cm 
thick, close and very close ice with some heavy 
floes. Off the coast there is new ice and shuga for 
about 10-15nm. Outside Västra Banken and 
southwards towards Grundkallen there is thin open
