Die Bake auf dem sogenannten Capo Bianco, an der Südspitze der Insel Corfu ist 
durch Sturm zerstört.

55. Fixed lififlit on Fast Iron- 
bound island. 
The Government of the Dominion of Ca 
nada has given Notice, that a light is now 
exhibited from the recently rebuilt lighthouse 
on East Ironbound island, Mahone bay. 
The light is a fixed white light, elevated 
150 feet above high water, and in clear wea 
ther should be seen from a distance of 16 
miles. 
The illuminating apparatus is catoptric, 
but from the 1st April 1871 will be dioptric 
or by lenses. 
The tower is 46 feet high, and surmounts 
the keeper’s dwelling.

Festes Feuer auf iler Insel 
Fast Ironbonnd. 
Auf der Insel East Ironbound, Mahone 
Bai, brennt auf dem wieder erbauten Leucht 
thurm ein festes, weisses Feuer, das 150 
Fuss über Hochwasser erhaben und bei klarer 
Luft 16 Seem. weit sichtbar ist. 
Der Leuchtapparat ist catoptrisch, wird 
jedoch vom 1. April 1871 ab dioptrisch oder 
mit Linsen. 
Der Thurm ist 46 Fuss hoch und über 
ragt die Wärterwohnung.

The light is a fixed white light, elevated 
36 feet above high water, and in clear wea 
ther should be seen from a distance of 8 
miles. 
The illuminating apparatus is catoptric or 
by reflectors. 
The tower, 33 feet high, is square, built 
of wood, and painted white. Position, lat. 
44° 26' 30" N., long. 66° Г 15" W.

FoNteN Feuer im Äissibou-Fluss. 
In der Mündung des Flusses Sissibou, 
St. Mary Bai, brennt auf einem neuerbauten 
Leuchtthurm, ein festes, weisses Feuer, 
das 36 Fuss über Hochwasser erhaben und 
bei klarer Luft 8 Seem. weit sichtbar ist. 
Catoptrischer oder Reflectoren - Apparat. 
Der Thurm ist 33 Fuss hoch, viereckig, 
aus Holz erbaut und weiss gemalt. 
Lage: 44° 26' 30" Nord-Breite, 66° 1'
