ting the extension of the red sector of light
exhibited from Flatholm lighthouse:
The Trinity House has given Notice, that
the alteration has been made, and that the
red sector of light now extends to the west
ward as far as the Ranie spit buoy, on the bea
ring of N. by W. '/2 W. from the lighthouse.

terung des rotlien Lichtscheines vom Flat
holm Leuchtfeuer, wird angezeigt, dass diese
Veränderung jetzt ausgeführt ist und der
rothe Lichtschein sich jetzt westlich bis zur
Ranie spit Tonne erstreckt, in der Peilung
NzW V'sW vom Leuchthurm.

The Trinity House, London, has given
Notice, that in consequence of the rapid ac
cumulation of the beach to seaward at Dun-
geness point, it has been decided to erect a
beacon on it, in order the better to define
the extremity.
The beacon will consist of a mast 50 feet
high, with two large globes placed vertically
thereon; it will be placed a few yards above
high water mark, about 400 yards S. E. */% E.
from the lighthouse.
Also, that further Notice will be given
when the beacon is completed.

In Folge der schnellen Zunahme des See
strandes bei der Dungeness Spitze ist die
Erbauung einer Bake angeordnet, um die
äusserste Spitze genau zu bestimmen.
Die Bake wird aus einem Mast von 50'
Höhe bestehen, mit zwei grossen senkrecht
übereinander befindlichen Kugeln und wird
einige Yards über der Hochwassermarke auf
gestellt werden, ungefähr 1104' ihein. (400
Yards) SO'/aO vom Leuchtthurm.
Sobald die Bake vollendet ist, wird eine
weitere Bekanntmachung erfolgen.
