Notice is hereby given, that a Lighthouse 
has recently been erected by the Government 
of Canada, at Salmon, or Wicked Point, 
Lake Ontario, in the Province of Ontario, 
about six miles westerly from Point Peter 
Light House.

Longitude 77 u 1!-' 45“ West. 
The Light is a fixed K«:d Light, elevated 
forty feet above high water, and can be seen 
in clear weather a distance of about ten mi 
les. It is visible from all points of approach 
from the Lake. 
The Tower is a square building, surmoun 
ting the Keeper"s dwelling, and painted white. 
The illuminating apparatus is Catoptric, 
there being five Lamps and lb tbetors. The 
Light was exhibited the first time on the 
23rd October instant.

Seit dem 23. Octbr. dies. J. wird am On 
tario-See, auf Saluion oder Wicked Point, 
Provinz Ontario, in einem ungefähr (> Secni. 
westwärts von dem Point Petcr-Leuchtthurme, 
neuerdings errichteten Thurme ein rot lies, 
festes Feuer angezündet. Dasselbe befindet 
sich in einer Hohe von rhcinl. Fuss 
(12,* Met.) über Hochwasser und ist von 
allen Annäberungspuukteu, bei klarer Luft 
ungefähr ln Seen», weit sichtbar. 
Spiegel- oder katoptrischer Leuchtapparat. 
Derselbe besteht aus fünf Lampen nebst Huhl- 
Spiegeln. 
Der Leiicbttliurin ist ein viereckiges Ge 
bäude, weiss gemalt und erhebt sich auf dem 
\\ ärterhause.
