Life on the seabed of the North Sea is subject to many natural and anthronogenic changes, including global warming, 
reduction of nutrient loads, changing currents, shifting and intensification of fishing, offshore wind industry, dredging 
and dumping operations, and pollution discharges. 
MuSSeL investigates these changes and their hitherto unknown combined effects on and nsks to the Good Ecological 
Status of the seabed and the diversity and functioning of benthic communities. For this, we gathered experts from 
Hochschule Bremerhaven, Bundesamt für Seeschiffahrt und Hydrographie, Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, Universität
