Part B: Certificates and approval requirements
1 Definitions
The overall mechanical system of an offshore wind turbine consists of the components of the turbine
and support structure (Figure 1). The support structure can be further subdivided into the tower and
substructure. The foundation elements form part of the substructure.
The turbine consists in detail of the nacelle and the rotor blades.
The components of the overall system of an offshore wind park are listed in Part A. chapter 2.2.
