Determination of the following elements:
Fe, Mn, Zn, Cd, Pb, Cu, Hg from sediment samples
originating from the dumping area northeastwards
of Helgoland
PCB, HCB, OCS, DDT, Dieldrin, Lindan, *:-HCH,
in sediments of the southern North Sea,
Skagerrak, Norwegean Deep.
Standardization in relation to TOC contents
Grain size distribution, clay mineralogy
TOC contents, hydrocarbons, classification
of organic substance (southern and central
North Sea, Skagerrak)
The main objective of the project consists in
finding a proposal for the implementation of
a biological effect monitoring on the basis
of an assessment of diseases and stress-induced
symptoms in fishes, with the most extensive
differentiation possible between the pre
sumable corresponding natural and anthropogenic
stress factors. The flounder (Pleuronectes flesus)
is to be the main indicator organism.
