2.2 The ight campaigns 
The 2012 ampa n was planned with three main 
criteria: 
• Hgh resolution (much higher than the 2008 
tests); 
• In some areas, the tracks had to be in three 
heights the optimum, %more,and % 
lessof the optimum; 
• The measurements were to be made in fall 
The survey took place in October/November 
Sbme of the measurements could not be proc 
essed, so it became necessary to repeat the rel 
evant tracks in April . The sensor was a Regl 
V3- -G The Stecchi depth was . m. 
The main resultsin short (Wschow ): 
• Adepth of 5 to 6 m could be reached, 
in April to m; 
• Obstructions could not be found; 
• There are some gaps in the data, partly in the 
same placesaswith the test ight. 
The 2013 ampa n was planned with three main 
criteria: 
• Two dit erent resolutions High resolution in 
the shallow areas, and a depth of x Stecchi 
depth with less resolution; 
• The measurements were to be made in fall 
• Additionally to the area north of Fbel,two 
little areasfurther east had to be surveyed, 
arti dal reefs Nienhagen and Fbsenort. 
The survey took place in Steptember in two 
campaigns, rst with Ha/vkeye II, later with Chirop- 
tera in the shallow areas The Stecchi depth was 
to m. 
The main resultsin short (Stenchez Gamez ): 
• With Chiropteraadepth of 9to 10m could 
be reached, with Hawteye II the depth range 
of to m was covered; 
• Obstructionsagain could not be found, even 
the relative large reefs in Nienhagen (Rg. ) 
and Rrsenort; 
• The object classes »vegetation«and >ob- 
struction«could not be separated. 
The 2014 ampa n was planned again with the 
same main criteria The main di erence was the 
request to y in spring . Due to the long-time 
required for the procurement, the planning took 
placebeforetheresultsofthe ight had been 
delivered. 
The survey had initially been planned with the 
new Hawteye III, which would have been able 
to do the high-resolution and the deeper survey 
in one ight. However, in spring the system 
was not available, so the ight was performed in 
May with Chiroptera In Steptember , six 
selected tracks were resurveyed with Hawkeye III, 
and seven at the position of the reefs The Stec 
chi depth was m only in May and in Steptember, 
somewhat more at the reefs The areas of the sur 
vey are to be seen in Rg. . 
The main resultsdo not di er much from those 
of (\Afornke ). E/en the new Hawkeye III
