Comment
ZISCH is an example of a co-ordinated inter
disciplinary project aiming at the quanitfi-
cation of turn-over of important pollutants
which enter the North Sea. Apart from the
present state of pollution of the North Sea
the pattern of input and the sources of
pollution are of special interest. As for
anthropogenic inputs the circulation pattern
and the fate of the pollutants are studied
and an input balance is to be calculated.
