Tiefseedrifter für ARGO 
ARGO deep sea drifter 
einbezogen - eine Aufgabe, die dem BSH 2004 neu 
übertragen wurde. 2005 wird das BSH das erste 
förmliche Verfahren für die AWZ einschließlich der 
Umweltverträglichkeitsprüfungen und der Öffentlich 
keitsbeteiligung einleiten und erste Anhörungen 
durchführen. 
Geodateninfrastruktur 
Raumbedeutsame Geoinformationen gewinnen 
zunehmend an wirtschaftlicher Bedeutung, liegen 
aber überwiegend in untereinander nicht vernetzten 
Datenquellen vor. Ein einfacher Zugang soll künftig 
durch eine übergreifende Geodaten-Infrastruktur für 
den maritimen Bereich erleichtert werden. Für einen 
ersten Internationalen Erfahrungsaustausch veran 
staltet das BSH Im November In Rostock ein zweitä 
giges Seminar mit Vertretern von Hydrographischen 
Diensten aus aller Welt.

Mit weiteren 25 Tiefseedriftern beteiligt sich das BSH 
an dem Internationalen Ozean Beobachtungspro 
gramm ARGO, das Daten zu Kllmaveränderungen Im 
Nordatlantik erhebt. Insgesamt Ist bis Ende 2006 
weltweit der Einsatz von ständig 3000 Tiefseedriftern 
Marine spatial planning 
The procedures for the establishment of preferred 
areas will be part of comprehensive marine spatial 
planning covering all marine uses in the EEZ of the 
North Sea and Baltic Sea - a new task assigned to 
the BSH In 2004. In 2005, the BSH will Initiate the first 
official procedures for project planning In the EEZ 
Including environmental Impact assessments and 
involvement of the public; the first public hearings 
will be held. 
Geodata infrastructure 
Geodata that are relevant to spatial development 
have been gaining in economic Importance, but origi 
nate mostly from non-crossllnked data sources. Easy 
access will be provided in future through a common 
infrastructure of marine geodata. In November, the 
BSH will organise a two-day seminar at Rostock 
attended by the representatives of international hydro- 
graphic offices, which will be the first opportunity to 
discuss this subject on the International level. 
Marine environmental protection 
The BSH will contribute another 25 deep-sea drifters 
to the international ocean observing programme
