Übersicht 
Die Eisverhältnisse im N-lichen Ostseeraum haben 
sich seit gestern nicht wesentlich verändert. 
- Achtung: In der Bottensee können im S-Bereich 
auf See einzelne grobe Eisblöcke vorkommen. 
Overview 
Ice conditions in the northern region of the Baltic 
Sea have not changed very much since yesterday. 
- Attention: In the Sea of Bothnia single heavy 
%oebits may occur at sea in the southern part. 
Saimaasee: S-lich von Joensuu tritt 5-15 cm dickes 
morsches Eis auf. 
Lake Saimaa: South of Joensuu 5-15 cm thick 
rotten ice occurs. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären von Vaasa 
kommt sehr dichtes morsches Eis, dann bis etwa 
Norra Gloppsten sehr lockeres, stellenweise aber 
auch sehr dichtes und übereinandergeschobenes 
Eis vor. Außerhalb davon offenes Wasser, nur N-lich 
von Valassaaret treibt stellenweise sehr lockeres 
Eis. - Schwedische Küste: Um Holmöarna kommt 
dichtes Eis vor, auf See treiben einzelne Eisblöcke. 
Entlang der Küste findet man noch morsche 
Eisreste. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: Die Schären sind im Norden mit 
40-85 cm dickem, morsch werdenden Festeis 
bedeckt. Außerhalb davon liegt sehr dichtes, stark 
aufgepresstes 40-60 cm dickes Eis. Im Eisfeld 
kommen Brüche vor. Eine breite Rinne verläuft von 
Malören bis Farstugrunden, dann weiter S-wärts 
entlang der schwedischen Küste. Im mittleren und 
S-lichen Teil liegt in den Schären 35-60 cm dickes, 
nNorsches Festeis, außerhalb davon sehr dichtes, 
Üübereinandergeschobenes und aufgepresstes, 30- 
50 cm dickes Treibeis. Im Eisfeld kommen Brüche 
vor. - Schwedische Küste: In den Schären 30-80 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: In the Vaasa archipelago there is 
very close rotten ice, then very open, but in places 
also very close and rafted ice occurs up to 
approximately Norra Gloppsten. Farther off there is 
open water, only north of Valassaaret there is very 
open drift ice, in places. - Swedish Coast: Around 
Holmöarna there is close ice, at sea single floebits 
are drifting. Along the coast rotten ice remnants are 
still present, in places. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern Bay of Bothnia 
"here is 40-85 cm thick rottening fast ice in the 
archipelago. Farther out there is very close, heavily 
ridged 40-60 cm thick ice. There are fractures in 
'he ice field. A wide lead runs from Malören to 
Farstugrunden and farther southwards along the 
Swedish coast. In the central and southern part 
there is 35-60 cm thick rotten fast ice in the 
archipelagos, farther off very close, rafted and 
dged 30-50 cm thick ice occurs. There are 
‘ractures in the ice field. - Swedish Coast: In the 
archipelagos there is 30-80 cm thick fast ice. At
