Übersicht 
Die Eisverhältnisse außerhalb der finnischen 
3Zottenvikküste sind schwierig. 
- Achtung: In der Bottensee treiben auf See S-lich 
von 61° N einzelne grobe Eisblöcke. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Saimaasee: S-lich von Joensuu tritt 5-15 cm dickes 
mnorsches Eis auf. - Russische Küste: In der 
Jmgebung der Insel Vichrevoj kommen noch 
morsche Eisreste vor. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären von Vaasa liegt 
sehr dichtes, 30-60 cm dickes, morsches Eis, dann 
bis etwa Nora Gloppsten sehr lockeres, stellenweise 
aber auch sehr dichtes und übereinandergescho- 
benes, 15-40 cm dickes Eis. Außerhalb davon 
<ommt offenes Wasser vor, nur N-lich von 
Valassaaret treibt stellenweise sehr lockeres Eis. - 
Schwedische Küste: E-lich von Holmöarna kommt 
ockeres Eis vor, sonst treiben einzelne Eisblöcke. 
W-lich von Holmöarna offenes Wasser, entlang den 
Küsten findet man noch morsche Eisreste. 
Overview 
Ice conditions off the Finnish coast in the Bay of 
Bothnia are difficult. 
- Attention: In the Sea of Bothnia single heavy 
floebits are drifting at sea south of 61° N. 
Gulf of Finland 
Lake Saimaa: South of Joensuu 5-15 cm thick 
rotten ice occurs. - Russian Coast: Rotten ice 
remnants can still be found in the vicinity of the 
island Vichrevoj. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: In the Vaasa archipelago there is 
very close, 30-60 cm thick, rotten ice, then very 
open, but in places also very close and rafted, 15- 
40 cm thick ice occurs up to approximately Nora 
Gloppsten. Farther off there is open water, only 
north of Valassaaret there is very open drift ice, in 
places. - Swedish Coast: East of Holmöarna 
there is open ice, otherwise, single floebits are 
drifting. West of Holmöarna there is open water, 
along the coast rotten ice remnants are still 
present, in places. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: Die Schären sind im Norden mit 
40-85 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb davon 
jegt sehr dichtes, stark aufgepresstes 40-60 cm 
dickes Eis. Im Eisfeld kommen Brüche vor. Eine 
breite Rinne verläuft von Malören nach 
Farstugrunden, dann weiter S-wärts entlang der 
schwedischen Küste. Im mittleren und S-lichen Teil 
liegt in den Schären 35-60 cm dickes, morsch 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern Bay of Bothnia 
‘here is 40-85 cm thick fast ice in the archipelago. 
Farther out there is very close, heavily ridged 40-60 
cm thick ice. There are fractures in the ice field. A 
wide lead runs from Malören to Farstugrunden and 
farther southwards along the Swedish coast. In the 
central and southern part there is 35-60 cm thick 
rottening fast ice in the archipelagos, farther off
