Übersicht 
Der Eisrückgang im Finnischen und Rigaischen 
Meerbusen setzt sich weiter fort. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Vänernsee: Eisfrei, abgesehen von einzelnen 
norschen Schollen in den Einfahrten nach Skoghall 
und Karlstad. 
Overview 
The ice retreat in the Gulfs of Finland and Riga 
sontinues further on. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Lake Vänern: Ice-free, apart from single rotten 
‘o0es found in the entrances to Skoghall and 
Karlstad. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: Between the islands Kihnu and 
Auhnu there is close to open, 10-30 cm thick, 
rotten ice. - Latvian Coast: On the fairway 
Mersrags - Irben Strait there is open water. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: Zwischen Inseln Kihnu und 
Ruhnu tritt dichtes bis lockeres, 10-30 cm dickes, 
nNorsches Eis auf. - Lettische Küste: Im Fahr- 
wasser Mersrags — Irbenstraße kommt offenes 
Wasser vor. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den W-lichen Schären liegt 
örtlich morsches Eis. Die inneren E-lichen Schären 
sind mit 25-60 cm dickem, morschen Festeis 
bedeckt. Außerhalb davon kommt offenes Wasser 
vor. Saimaasee: 10-40 cm dickes, teilweise 
norsches Eis. - Russische Küste: Die Häfen von 
St. Petersburg und das Fahrwasser bis zur Länge 
des Leuchtturms Tolbuchin sind eisfrei. Dann tritt im 
Fahrwasser bis zur Länge vom Kap Ustinskij 
ockeres Eis auf, anschließend liegt bis zur 
Eisgrenze sehr dichtes 20-30 cm dickes Eis. Die 
Eisgrenze verläuft entlang etwa der Linie Kotlin — 3 
sm N-lich von Sepelevskij - Seskar — MoSCnyj — 
_euchtturm Sommers — Kotka. - In der Vyborgbucht 
kommt im Fahrwasser bis zur Länge von Halbinsel 
Kiperort sehr lockeres Eis vor. In der Einfahrt liegt 
bis Nerva sehr dichtes 20-30 cm dickes Eis. dann 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the western archipelagos there is 
rotten ice, in places. The inner eastern archipelagos 
are covered with 25-60 cm thick rotten fast ice. 
Farther off there is open water. Lake Saimaa: 10- 
40 cm thick, partly rotten ice. - Russian Coast: The 
1arbours of St. Petersburg and the fairway up to the 
ongitude of lighthouse Tolbuchin are ice-free. On the 
fairway farther out there is open ice up to the 
ongitude of Cape Ustinskij, then up to the ice edge 
very close 20-30 cm thick ice. The ice edge runs 
along about the line Kotlin — 3 nm north of 
Sepelevskij — Seskar — MoSCEnyj — lighthouse 
Sommers — Kotka. - In the Vyborg Bay there is on 
the fairway up to the longitude of peninsula Kiperort 
very open ice. In the entrance very close 20-30 cm 
thick ice occurs up to the latitude of Nerva and open 
ice up to the longitude of Sommers. - In the
