Information of the Icebreaker Services 
Estonia 
icebreaker: EVA-316 and PROTECTOR are assisting to Pärnu Bay and in the Gulf of Riga, no service for tugs 
and barges. TARMO assists to the ports on the southern coast in Gulf of Finland 
Finland 
The Saimaa Canal will be opened on 14" of April at 03:00 UTC. 
From 1% of March only vessels in ice class IA and more than 4000 tons in deadweight, which have per port (for 
ihe ports Tornio, Kemi, Oulu, Raahe, Kokkola and Pietarsaari) at least 2000 tons to load or unload or both 
‘ogether. 
Vessels bound for ports in the Gulf of Bothnia shall report to ICE INFO on VHF Channel 84 when passing the 
Svenska Björn lighthouse. 
The traffic separation schemes in the Sea of Äland is temporarily out of use due to ice conditions. 
The traffic separation schemes in the Gulf of Finland south of Porkkalanniemi Lighthouse, south 
Helsinki Lighthouse and south of Kalbädagrund Lighthouse have again been taken into use. 
Icebreaker: KONTIO, URHO and OTSO assist in the northern Bay of Bothnia, SISU works in the southern 
Bay of Bothnia. NORDICA assists in the Sea of Bothnia. VOIMA assists in the eastern Gulf of Finland.

Only daytime navigation is allowed in the eastern fairways.
