Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 25-60 cm 
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb der Festeiskante etwa bis 
zur Linie Norrskär — Finngrundet zusammen- 
geschobenes, aufgepresstes 10-40 cm dickes Eis: 
'm Eisfeld kommen Risse vor. Außerhalb davon im 
Norden 5-20 cm dickes ebenes Eis, im Südwesten 
treibt lockeres bis sehr lockeres 5-35 cm dickes Eis. 
: Schwedische Küste: Zwischen Holmsund und 
Sundsvall verläuft eine schmale Rinne. Auf See liegt 
N-lich der Breite von Sundsvall größtenteils dichtes 
5-20 cm dickes Eis, S-lich davon meist offenes 
Wasser. Außerhalb Hudiksvall und etwa 12 sm W- 
ich von Finngrundet treiben einige größere 
Eisschollen. In der inneren Gävle Bucht meist 
ockeres 5-20 cm dickes Eis, in dem im Bereich E- 
ind NE-lich von Grundkallen einige grobe Schollen 
vorkommen. Der Ängermanälven ist mit bis zu 50 
cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago 25-60 cm thick 
fast ice occurs. Off the fast ice edge there is up to 
about the line Norrskär — Finngrundet compact, 
idged 10-40 cm thick ice; cracks occur in the ice 
field. Farther out there is 5-20 cm thick level ice in 
the north and open to very open 5-35 cm thick drift 
ice in the southwest. - Swedish Coast: A narrow 
lead runs between Holmsund and Sundsvall. At sea 
there is mostly close 5-20 cm thick ice north of the 
'atitude of Sundsvall, farther south there is mostly 
open water. Off Hudiksvall and about 12 nm west of 
Finngrundet some larger ice flows are drifting. In 
Ihe inner Bight of Gävle there is mostly open 5-20 
3m thick ice, but in the area east and northeast of 
arundkallen some heavy floes occur. The 
Angermanälven is covered with up to 50 cm thick 
fast ice. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären von Vaasa liegt 
40-60 cm dickes Festeis, dann von Nora Gloppsten 
bis Norrskär sehr dichtes und übereinandergescho- 
benes 15-40 cm dickes Eis. Weiter außerhalb im 
Norden sehr dichtes 20-45 cm dickes Eis, im Süden 
verläuft von SW bis Norrskär erst eine 10-15 sm 
breite Rinne, dann kommt sehr dichtes, 
ÄÜbereinandergeschobenes 10-20 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Schwedische Küste: Auf See treibt im Norden 
neist sehr dichtes, bis zu 50 cm dickes Eis, in dem 
NE-lich von Nordvalen einige schwierige Presseis- 
‚ücken vorkommen. Ansonsten im Süden meist 
offenes Wasser. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: In the Vaasa archipelago there is 
40-60 cm thick fast ice, then very close and rafted 
15-40 cm thick ice from MNorra Gloppsten to 
Norrskär. Farther out there is very close 20-45 cm 
'hick ice in the north, and in the south first a 10-15 
am wide lead runs from southwest to Norrskär, 
ihen very close rafted 10-20 cm thick ice occurs. - 
Swedish Coast: At sea there is mostly very close, 
up to 50 cm thick ice in the north. In the ice there 
are some heavy ridges, specially in the region 
north-east of Nordvalen. In the south and past 
Nordvalen mostly open water. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: Die Schären sind im Norden mit 
40-85 cm, im mittleren und S-lichen Teil mit 35-60 
cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb davon 
kommt im Norden zusammenhängendes, stark auf- 
gepresstes 30-60 cm dickes Eis vor. Im mittleren 
And S-lichen Teil liegt sehr dichtes, übereinanderge- 
schobenes und aufgepresstes 20-50 cm dickes 
Treibeis mit einigen Rissen dazwischen. Eine Rinne 
verläuft von Kemi 1 über Merikallat bis Raahe. - 
Schwedische Küste: Im Norden liegt sehr dichtes 
30-70 cm dickes Eis mit einigen gröberen Schollen 
ind Presseisrücken. Von Farstugrunden bis S-lich 
von Malören verlauft eine breite Rinne. Eine andere 
Rinne verläuft von Nygrän E-wärts. S-lich von 
6440'N tritt überwiegend 20-50 cm dickes ebenes 
Eis mit einigen Presseisrücken auf. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern Bay of Bothnia 
‘here is 40-85 cm, in the central and southern part 
35-60 cm thick fast ice in the archipelago. Farther 
aut there is consolidated, heavily ridged 30-60 cm 
*hick ice in the north. In the central and southern 
part there is very close, rafted and ridged 20-50 
cm thick ice with some cracks in-between. A lead 
runs from Kemi 1 via Merikallat to Raahe - 
Swedish Coast: In the northern part there is very 
zlose 30-70 cm thick ice with some heavy floes and 
ridges. A wide lead runs from Farstugrunden to 
south of Malören. Another lead runs from Nygrän 
sastwards. South of 64%0'N there is mostly 20- 
50 cm level ice with some ridges. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Ein Tiefdruckgebiet über Ostengland, das sich 
angsam N-wärts verlagert, wird das Wetter im N- 
ichen Ostseeraum in den nächsten drei bis vier 
Tagen bestimmen. Bei mäßigem bis leichtem 
Nachtfrost und Tageslufttemperaturen über 0 ist 
keine wesentliche Eiszunahme zu erwarten. Im 
Bottnischen Meerbusen wird sich die Eislage bei
