cm dickes ebenes Eis. Von Sydostbrotten bis 
Nordvalen kommt meist lockeres Eis und Neueis, 
zwischen Nordvalen und Vallinsgrundet dünnes 
ebenes Eis oder Neueis vor.

Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: Die Schären sind im Norden mit 
40-85 cm, im mittleren und S-lichen Teil mit 35-60 
cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb davon liegt 
im Norden zusammenhängendes, stark aufge- 
presstes 30-60 cm dickes Eis. Im Bereich N-lich von 
Falkensgrund befinden sich breite, mit 5-15 cm 
dickem Eis bedeckte Rinnen. Im Süden liegt 
kompaktes, übereinandergeschobenes und teilweise 
aufgepresstes 20-50 cm dickes Treibeis. - 
Schwedische Küste: N-lich von 6453'N liegt meist 
sehr dichtes 30-60 cm dickes Eis mit zahlreichen 
Presseisrücken. S-lich davon kommt größtenteils 
20-50 cm dickes ebenes Eis vor. Entlang der Küste 
verläuft von Pitea S-wärts bis Norra Kvarken eine 5- 
10 sm breite, mit dünnem ebenen Eis bedeckte 
Rinne. Die engste Stelle dieser Rinne befindet sich 
bei Bjuröklubb. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern Bay of Bothnia 
here is 40-85 cm, in the central and southern part 
35-60 cm thick fast ice in the archipelago. Farther 
out there is consolidated, heavily ridged 30-60 cm 
rhick ice in the north. In the area north of 
Falkensgrund wide leads, covered with 5-15 cm 
chick ice, occur. In the southern part there is 
compact, rafted and in places ridged 20-50 cm 
thick ice. - Swedish Coast: North of 6453'N there 
is mostly very close 30-60 cm thick ice with 
numerous ridges. South of it there is mainly 25- 
50cm level ice. Along the coast, from Piteäa 
southwards to Norra Kvarken there is a lead, 
covered by thin level ice. The narrowest place of 
this lead is located near Bjuröklubb. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Im N-lichen Ostseeraum ist in den nächsten drei 
Tagen bei mäßigem bis strengem Dauerfrost mit 
weiterer Eiszunahme zu rechnen. Ab morgen wird 
nit W- bis SW-licher Strömung milde Luft in den S- 
lichen Ostseeraum einfließen, die einen relativ 
raschen Eisrückgang einleiten wird.
