Festeis bedeckt. Der Hafen Stralsund ist eisfrei, 
weiter bis Palmer Ort örtlich dichtes etwa 20 cm 
dickes Eis. Im Greifswalder Bodden liegt an den 
Küsten etwa 20 cm dickes Festeis, im S-Teil kommt 
sehr dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis vor, das teilweise 
im SE-Teil übereinandergeschoben und bis zu 60 
cm dick ist. Von Wolgast bis Peenemünde 
überwiegend eisfrei, weiter bis Ruden liegt dichtes 
teilweise aufgepresstes, bis zu 30 cm dickes Eis. 
Auf dem S-lichen Peenestrom kommt 5-15 cm 
dickes Randeis unterschiedlicher Breite vor, auf dem 
Achterwasser etwa 15 cm dickes Festeis. Das 
Kleine Haff ist mit 10-25 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt; 
'm W-Teil ist die Eisdecke zerbrochen, an der S- 
Küste kommen offene Stellen vor. - Litauische 
Küste: Im Hafen Klaipeda und in der Einfahrt 
ockerer Eisbrei und dunkler Nilas treiben N- bis 
\W-wärts. Das Kurische Haff ist mit 40-65 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. - Polnische Küste: Im 
Stettiner Haff kommt dichtes 15-20 cm dickes Eis 
vor. Im Fahrwasser nach Stettin treibt ein Feld aus 
dichtem 10-30 cm dicken Eis. - Schwedische 
Küste: Bei Karlskrona lockeres 10-25 cm dickes Eis. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
N-lich der Linie Huvudskär —- 20 Sm E-lich von 
Gotska Sandön — Vilsandi kommt sehr lockeres bis 
dichtes 5-30 cm dickes Eis und Neueis vor. 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen Ventspils liegt dichtes 
Eis, der Hafen Liepaja ist eisfrei, und im Fahrwasser 
dazwischen kommt offenes Wasser vor. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 
10-40 cm dickes, morsch werdendes Festeis. Auf 
See treiben N-lich von Dag6ö Streifen mit dichtem bis 
ockerem 5-20 cm dicken Eis. Weiter S-lich kommen 
entlang der Küste Streifen mit sehr lockerem Eis. Im 
Kalmarsund S-lich von Blä Jungfrun dichtes bis 
‘ockeres, bis zu 40 cm dickes Eis. Mälarsee: Mit bis 
zu 40 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, im zentralen 
Bereich kommen offene Stellen vor. Vänernsee: 
Ebenes oder dichtes Eis, 10-25 cm dick.

Stralsund is ice free, farther out to Palmer Ort close, 
about 20 cm thick ice occurs, in places. In the 
Greifswalder Bodden there is at the coasts about 20 
zm thick fast ice, in the southern part very close 15- 
30 cm thick ice, which is partly rafted and up to 60 
sm thick in the southeastern part. From Wolgast to 
Peenemünde mostly ice-free, farther out to Ruden 
there is close, partly ridged, up to 30 cm thick ice. 
On the southern Peenestrom there is 5-15 cm thick 
shore ice of different wide, on the Achterwasser 
about 15 cm thick fast ice. Kleines Haff is covered 
by 10-25 cm thick fast ice, that is broken in the 
western part and has open areas off the southern 
coast. - Lithuanian Coast: In the port of Klaipeda 
and in the entrance open shuga and dark nilas are 
drifting northwards to northwestwards. The 
Courland Lagoon is covered with 40-65 cm thick 
‘ast ice. - Polish Coast: There is close 15-20 cm 
thick ice in the Stettin Lagoon, a field of close 10-30 
sm thick ice is drifting on the fairway to Stettin. - 
Swedish Coast: At Karlskrona there is open 10-25 
cm thick ice. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
North of the line Huvudskär —- 20 nm east of Gotska 
Sandön — Vilsandi there is very open to close 5-30 
cm thick ice and new ice. 
Latvian Coast: There is close ice in the port of 
Ventspils, the port of Liepaja is ice free, and on the 
;airway between both ports open water occurs. - 
Swedish coast: In the inner archipelagos there is 
"0-40 cm thick rottening fast ice. At sea stripes of 
close to open 5-20 cm thick ice are drifting north of 
Dag6. Farther south stripes of very open ice occur 
along the coast. In Kalmarsund there is close to 
npen, up to 40 cm thick drift ice south of Blä 
Jungfrun. Lake Mälaren: Covered with up to 40 cm 
thick fast ice. In the central part there are open 
areas. Lake Vänern: Level or close ice, 10-25 cm 
thick. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: An der S-Küste von Saaremaa 
verläuft außerhalb des Festeises eine 1-15 sm breite 
Rinne mit Neueis. Der Moonsund ist mit 20-40 cm, 
die Pärnubucht mit 45-50 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. Weiter im Fahrwasser zur Irbenstraße liegt 
dichtes bis sehr dichtes, aufgepresstes 15-30 cm 
dickes Eis. In der Irbenstraße kommt offenes 
Wasser, Streifen mit dichtem, 20-30 cm dicken Eis 
nd im S-Teil sehr dichtes Eis vor. - Lettische 
Küste: Im Hafen von Riga dichtes Eis. Im 
rahrwasser von Riga zur Irbenstraße und in der 
Irbenstraße liegt sehr dichtes aufgepresstes Eis. Im 
Fahrwasser Irbenstraße — Ventspils kommt offenes 
Wasser vor. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: At the southern coast of 
Saaremaa there is off the fast ice a 1-15 nm wide 
'ead with new ice. In Moon Sound there is 20- 
40 cm, in the Pärnu Bay 45-50 cm thick fast ice. 
Farther out on the fairway to Irben Strait there is 
close to very close, ridged 15-30 cm thick ice. In 
the Irben Strait there is open water, strips of close 
20-30 cm thick ice and very close ice in the 
southern part. - Latvian Coast: In the port of Riga 
lose ice. In the fairway from Riga to Irben Strait 
there is very close ridged ice. On the fairway Irben 
Strait — Ventspils there is open water.
