Ängermanälven ist mit bis zu 50 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Von Vaasa bis Norra Gloppsten 
‚legt 35-55 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon 
kommt S-lich von MNordvalen sehr dichtes, 
Äbereinandergeschobenes 15-40 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Schwedische Küste: Von Sydostbrotten bis 
Väktaren und MNordvalen sowie E-lich von 
Holmöarna kommt meist offenes Wasser vor. E-lich 
von Holmögadd und außerhalb Umeä treiben Gürtel 
mit lockerem Eis. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: Die Schären sind im Norden mit 
40-85 cm, im mittleren und S-lichen Teil mit 35-55 
cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb davon liegt 
‘m Norden zusammenhängendes, stark aufge- 
presstes 30-60 cm dickes Eis. Im Bereich N-lich von 
Falkensgrund befinden sich breite, mit dünnem Eis 
bedeckte Rinnen. Im Süden liegt kompaktes, 
Jbereinandergeschobenes und teilweise 
aufgepresstes 20-50 cm dickes Treibeis. - 
Schwedische Küste: N-lich der Breite von 
Bjuröklubb liegt meist sehr dichtes 30-60 cm dickes 
Eis mit zahlreichen Presseisrücken. Zwischen 
Skelleftea Bucht und Nygrän sowie zwischen 
Farstugrunden und Malören kommen Bereiche mit 
offenem Wasser oder mit Neueis vor. Im S-Teil 
verläuft von Bjuröklubb bis Norra Kvarken eine 5-10 
sm breite Rinne, sonst tritt sehr dichtes 25-50 cm 
dickes Eis auf. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Während des Wochenendes ist in offenen Bereichen 
des N-lichen Ostseeraumes bei mäßigem bis 
starkem Frost mit Eisbildung zu rechnen. In der 
Bottenvik wird das Eis auf See zeitweise S-wärts 
treiben. Eis im S-lichen Ostseeraum wird weiter 
langsam abnehmen.

Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and HNorra 
Gloppsten there is 35-55 cm thick fast ice. Farther 
out there is south of Nordvalen very close, rafted 
15-40 cm thick. - Swedish Coast: From 
Sydostbrotten to Väktaren and Nordvalen as well as 
gast of Holmöarna there is mostly open water. East 
af Holmögadd and off Umeä belts of open ice are 
drifting. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern Bay of Bothnia 
there is 40-85 cm, in the central and southern part 
35-55 cm thick fast ice in the archipelago. Farther 
nut there is consolidated, heavily ridged 30-60 cm 
*hick ice in the north. In the area north of 
Falkensgrund wide leads, covered with thin ice, 
occur. In the southern part there is compact, rafted 
and in places ridged 20-50 cm thick ice. - Swedish 
Coast: North of Bjuröklubb there is mostly very 
close 30-60 cm thick ice with numerous heavy 
vidges. Between Bight of Skellefteäa and Nygrän as 
well as between Farstugrunden and Malören there 
are areas with open water or with new ice. In the 
southern part a 5-10 nm wide lead runs from 
Bjuröklubb to Norra Kvarken, else, very close 20- 
50 cm thick ice occurs. 
Expected Ice Development 
At moderate to strong frost, ice formation is 
expected in open areas of the northern region of 
the Baltic Sea during the week-end. In the Bay of 
Bothnia, the ice at sea will temporarily drift 
southwards. Ice in the southern region of the Baltic 
Sea will further slowly decrease.
