Fahrrinne treiben einzelne Eisschollen. In Rostock 
st die Unterwarnow eisfrei. In den 
Boddengewässern S-lich von Darß und Zingst liegt 
10-30 cm dickes Festeis. Die inneren Gewässer N- 
lich von Stralsund sind mit ca. 30 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. Im Hafen Stralsund lockeres, weiter bis 
Palmer Ort kompaktes 15-30 cm dickes Eis und 
Neueis. Im Fahrwasser zwischen Palmer Ort und 
Freesendorfer Haken liegt sehr dichtes 15-30 cm 
dickes Eis. An den Küsten des Greifswalder 
Boddens kommt 20-25 cm dickes Festeis, im N- 
lichen Teil und im Außenbereich überwiegend 
offenes Wasser vor. Auf dem N-lichen Peenestrom 
treiben stellenweise einzelne Eisschollen. In den 
'nneren Boddengewässern, auf dem S-lichen 
Peenestrom und im Kleinen Haff 10-30 cm dickes, z. 
T, zerbrochenes Festeis mit einigen offenen Stellen. 
Litauische Küste: Im Hafen von Klaipeda und in 
der Einfahrt treibt sehr lockerer Eisbrei oder heller 
Nilas langsam NW- bis N-wärts. Das Kurische Haff 
ist mit 40-65 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. - 
Polnische Küste: Das Stettiner Haff ist mit 15-20 
cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, im Fahrwasser nach 
Stettin kommt sehr lockeres, zerbrochenes 15-20 
cm dickes Treibeis oder Trümmereis vor. - 
Schwedische Küste: Bei Karlskrona lockeres 10-25 
cm dickes Eis. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
N-lich der Linie Öland Norra Udde — 35 sm NE von 
Gotska Sandön — Glotovi kommt sehr lockeres bis 
sehr dichtes 5-30 cm dickes Eis vor. Lettische 
Küste: Der Hafen Ventspils ist eisfrei, im Hafen 
_-iepaja und im Fahrwasser dazwischen kommt 
offenes Wasser vor. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
'nneren Schären liegt 10-40 cm dickes Festeis. Auf 
See 20 sm SE-lich von Svenska Högarna kommt 
ein Gebiet mit sehr dichtem bis zu 20 cm dicken Eis 
vor. W-lich der Linie Oland Norra Udde -— 
Kopparstenarna — Bogskär offenes Wasser oder 
sehr lockeres 5-10 cm dickes Eis. Im Kalmarsund S- 
lich von Blä Jungfrun dichtes bis lockeres, bis zu 40 
cm dickes Eis. Mälarsee: Mit bis zu 40 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt. Vänernsee: Ebenes oder sehr 
dichtes Eis. 10-25 cm dick. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: An der S-Küste von Saaremaa 
verläuft außerhalb des Festeises eine 3-6 sm breite 
Rinne mit Neueis. Der Moonsund ist mit 20-40 cm, 
die Pärnubucht mit 45-50 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. Weiter im Fahrwasser zur Irbenstraße liegt 
sehr dichtes, zusammenpressendes 15-35 cm 
dickes Eis, welches teilweise aufgepresst ist. In der 
Irbenstraße kommt dichtes bis sehr dichtes 20-30 
cm dickes Eis. - Lettische Küste: Entlang der W- 
Küste verläuft eine 5-10 sm breite Rinne. Im Hafen 
von Riga sehr lockeres Treibeis. Im Fahrwasser 
Riga — Kolka lockeres Treibeis, in der Irbenstraße 
dichtes aufgepresstes Eis. Im Fahrwasser zwischen 
der Irbenstraße und Ventspils anfänglich lockeres

Jnterwarnow is ice-free. The Bodden waters south 
of Darß and Zingst are covered with 10-30 cm thick 
fast ice. The inner waters north of Stralsund are 
covered with around 30 cm thick fast ice. In the 
harbour of Stralsund open, farther out to Palmer Ort 
compact 15-30 cm thick ice. On the fairway from 
Palmer Ort to Freesendorfer Haken there is very 
slose 15-30 cm thick ice. At the coast of the 
Greifswalder Bodden there is 20-25 cm thick fast 
ce; in the northern part and in the outer area there 
is mostly open water. On the northern Peenestrom 
single ice floes are drifting, in places. In the inner 
Bodden waters, on the southern Peenestrom and in 
Kleines Haff there is 10-30 cm thick, partly broken 
fast ice with some open areas. - Lithuanian Coast: 
In the port of Klaipeda and in the entrance very 
apen shuga and light nilas is slowly drifting towards 
NW to N. The Courland Lagoon is covered with 40- 
55 cm thick fast ice. - Polish Coast: There is 15-20 
am thick fast ice in the Stettin Lagoon, on the 
‘airway to Stettin there is very open 15-20 cm thick 
Droken drift ice or brash ice. - Swedish Coast: At 
Karlskrona there is open 10-25 cm thick ice. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
North of the line Ölands Norra Udde — 35 nm 
northeast of Gotska Sandön — Gilotovi there is very 
open to very close 5-30 cm thick ice. 
Latvian Coast: The port of Ventspils is ice-free, In 
*he port of Liepaja and on the fairway in-between 
open water occurs. - Swedish coast: In the inner 
archipelagos there is 10-40 cm thick fast ice. At 
sea there is 20 nm southeastern from Svenska 
Högarna an area with very close up to 20 cm thick 
ice. West of the line Olands Norra Udde — 
Kopparstenarna — Bogskär very open ice or open 
water. In Kalmarsund there is close to open, up to 
40 cm thick drift ice south of Bla Jungfrun. Lake 
Mälaren: Covered with up to 40 cm thick fast ice. 
Lake Vänern: Level ice or very close ice, 10-25 cm 
chick 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: At the southern coast of 
Saaremaa there is off the fast ice a 3-6 nm wide 
lead with new ice. In Moon Sound there is 20- 
40 cm, in the Pärnu Bay 45-50 cm thick fast ice. 
Farther out on the fairway to Irben Strait there is 
very close, compressed 15-35 cm thick ice, which 
Ss ridged in places. In the Irben Strait there is close 
to very close 20-30 cm thick ice. - Latvian Coast: 
Along the western coast a 5-10 nm wide lead is 
running. In the port of Riga very open drift ice. In 
the fairway Riga — Kolka there is open drift ice, in 
the Irben Strait close ridged ice. In the fairway from 
Irben Strait to Ventspils at the beginning open drift 
ice, farther southwards ice-free.
