Unterwarnow einzelne dünne Eisschollen. In den 
3oddengewässern S-lich von Darß und Zingst liegt 
10-30 cm dickes Festeis. Die inneren Gewässer N- 
ich von Stralsund sind mit ca. 30 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. Im Hafen Stralsund lockeres, weiter bis 
Palmer Ort kompaktes 10-30 cm dickes Eis. Im 
Fahrwasser zwischen Palmer Ort und Freesendorfer 
Haken liegt sehr dichtes, teilweise aufgepresstes 15- 
40 cm dickes Eis. An den Küsten des Greifswalder 
Boddens kommt 20-25 cm dickes Festeis, im N- 
lichen Teil und im Außenbereich überwiegend 
offenes Wasser vor. Auf dem N-lichen Peenestrom 
10-30 cm dickes lockeres Eis zwischen 
Peenemünde und Ruden. In den inneren 
3oddengewässern, auf dem S-lichen Peenestrom 
und im Kleinen Haff 10-30 cm Festeis mit einigen 
offenen Stellen. - Litauische Küste: Im Hafen von 
Klaipeda treibt lockerer Eisbrei langsam NW-wärts, 
in der Einfahrt kommt sehr lockerer Eisbrei und 
Neueis vor. Das Kurische Haff ist mit 40-65 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. - Polnische Küste: Das 
Stettiner Haff ist mit 15-20 cm dickem Festeis 
vedeckt, im Fahrwasser nach Stettin kommt sehr 
'ockeres 15-20 cm dickes Treibeis vor. - 
Schwedische Küste: Bei Karlskrona lockeres 10-25 
cm dickes Eis.

The Bodden waters south of Darß and Zingst are 
sovered with 10-30 cm thick fast ice. The inner 
waters north of Stralsund are covered with around 
30 cm thick fast ice. In the harbour of Stralsund 
there is open, farther out to Palmer Ort compact 10- 
30 cm thick ice. On the fairway from Palmer Ort to 
Freesendorfer Haken there is very close, partly 
ridged 15-40 cm thick ice. At the coast of the 
Greifswalder Bodden there is 20-25 cm thick fast 
ice; in the northern part and in the outer area there 
is mostly open water. On the northern Peenestrom 
there is open 10-30 cm thick ice between 
Peenemünde and Ruden. In the inner Bodden 
waters, on the southern Peenestrom and in Kleines 
Haff there is 10-30 cm thick fast ice with some open 
areas. - Lithuanian Coast: In the port of Klaipeda 
apen shuga is slowly drifting towards NW. In the 
antrance there is very open shuga and new ice. The 
Courland Lagoon is covered with 40-65 cm thick 
‘ast ice. - Polish Coast: There is 15-20 cm thick 
fast ice in the Stettin Lagoon, on the fairway to 
Stettin there is very open 15-20 cm thick drift ice. - 
Swedish Coast: At Karlskrona there is open 10-25 
cm thick ice. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
N-lich der Linie Oland Norra Udde — 25 sm NE von 
Gotska Sandön — Ristna kommt sehr lockeres bis 
sehr dichtes 5-30 cm dickes Eis und Neueis vor. 
Lettische Küste: Der Hafen Ventspils ist eisfrei, im 
Yafen Liepaja kommt sehr lockeres Treibeis vor, 
offenes Wasser im Fahrwasser dazwischen. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 
10-40 cm dickes Festeis. Auf See zwischen 
Svenska Högarna und Kopparstenarna meist sehr 
dichtes Eis, 10-25 cm dick. Weiter S-lich erstreckt 
sich entlang der Küste bis Oland Norra Udde ein 
etwa 40 sm breiter Gürtel mit dichtem bis lockerem 
dünnen Treibeis. Im Kalmarsund kommt S-lich von 
Blä Jungfrun sehr dichtes, bis zu 40 cm dickes Eis. 
Mälarsee: Mit bis zu 40 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. 
Vänernsee: Ebenes oder sehr dichtes Eis, 10-25 
cm dick. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
An der S-Küste von Saaremaa verläuft außerhalb 
des Festeises eine 3-6 sm breite Rinne mit Neueis, 
sonst mit sehr dichtem 15-35 cm dicken Eis bedeckt, 
welches übereinandergeschoben und aufgepresst 
;st. In der Irbenstraße liegt meist kompaktes 20-30 
cm dickes Eis mit Presseisrücken. 
Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-40 cm, 
die Pärnubucht mit 45-50 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. - Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Riga 
lockeres Treibeis. Im Fahrwasser Riga — Mersrags 
dichtes, danach sehr dichtes 10-30 cm dickes Eis. 
im Fahrwasser zwischen der Irbenstraße und 
Ventspils anfänglich lockeres Treibeis, dann eisfrei. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
North of the line Olands Norra Udde — 25 nm 
northeast of Gotska Sandön — Ristna there is very 
open to very close 5-30 cm thick ice and new ice. 
Latvian Coast: The port of Ventspils is ice-free, 
‘he port of Liepaja there is very open drift ice, open 
water on the fairway in-between. - Swedish coast: 
in the inner archipelagos there is 10-40 cm thick 
rast ice. At sea there is mostly very close 10-25 cm 
:hick ice between Svenska Högarna and 
Kopparstenarna. Farther south, up to Olands Norra 
Udde, there is close to open thin drift ice to about 
40 nm off the coast. In Kalmarsund there is very 
close, up to 40 cm thick drift ice south of Blä 
Jungfrun. Lake Mälaren: Covered with up to 40 cm 
thick fast ice. Lake Vänern: Level ice or very close 
ice. 10-25 cm thieck. 
Gulf of Riga 
At the southern coast of Saaremaa a 3-6 nm wide 
‚gad with new ice runs off the fast ice edge. 
Otherwise, the Gulf is covered with very close 15- 
35 cm thick ice, which is rafted and ridged. In the 
rben strait there is mostly compact 20-30 cm thick 
‚Ce with ridges. 
Estonian Coast: In Moon Sound there is 20- 
40 cm, in the Pärnu Bay 45-50 cm thick fast ice. - 
Latvian Coast: In the port of Riga open drift ice. In 
the fairway Riga — Mersrags close, then very close 
10-30 cm thick ice. In the fairway from Irben Strait 
to Ventspils at the beginning open drift ice, farther 
southwards ice-free.
