Nismar ist offenes Wasser, dann liegt bis Walfisch 
lockeres, 10-15 cm dickes Eis und dann Neueis bis 
Timmendorf. In Rostock kommt auf der Unter- 
warnow offenes Wasser und sehr lockeres 5-15 cm 
dickes Eis vor. In den Boddengewässern südlich von 
Jarß und Zingst befindet sich 5-30 cm dickes 
Festeis. Die inneren Gewässer nördlich von 
Stralsund sind mit ca. 30 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. Im Hafen Stralsund liegt 15-30cm dickes 
'ockeres Eis, weiter im Fahrwasser liegt bis 
Freesendorfer Haken 15-40cm dickes kompaktes 
Eis, teilweise übereinandergeschoben und aufge- 
presst. An den Küsten des Greifswalder Boddens 
kommt 20-30cm dickes Festeis vor, im nördlichen 
Teil und im Außenbereich kommt offenes Wasser 
nit bis zu 30cm dicken Schollen vor. Auf dem 
nördlichen Peenestrom liegt 15-30cm dickes 
'ockeres Eis zwischen Peenemünde und Ruden. In 
den inneren Boddengewässern, auf dem südlichen 
Peenestrom und im kleinen Haff befindet sich 10-30 
cm Festeis mit einigen offenen Stellen. - Litauische 
Küste: In der Einfahrt und im Hafen von Klaipeda 
driftet lockerer Eisbrei und Pfannkucheneis langsam 
nach NW. Auf dem Fahrwasser in südliche Richtung 
xommt offenes Wasser vor. Das Kurische Haff ist 
mit 40-65 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. - Polnische 
Küste: Das Stettiner Haff ist mit bis zu 25cm dicken 
Festeis bedeckt, im Fahrwasser nach Stettin liegt 
sehr lockeres 15-20cm dickes Eis. - Schwedische 
Küste: Bei Karlskrona lockeres 10-25 cm dickes Eis 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Nördlich der Linie Almagrundet - Ristna kommt 
Neueis und 5-25cm dickes, lockeres bis sehr dichtes 
Eis vor. Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Ventspils 
befindet sich dichtes Eis, lockeres Eis in Liepaja, 
offenes Wasser auf dem Fahrwasser dazwischen. 
Andere Fahrwasser sind eisfrei. - Schwedische 
Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 10-40 cm 
dickes Festeis. Auf See liegt zwischen Svenska 
Ädögarna und Kopparstenarna meist sehr dichtes 
Eis, 10-25cm dick, Weiter südlich bis Ölands norra 
Jdde liegt bis zu 40sm Entfernung von der Küste 
dichtes Treibeis und Neueis. Im Kalmarsund treibt 
südlich von Blä Jungfrun sehr dichtes, bis zu 40 cm 
dickes Eis. Mälarsee: Mit bis zu 40 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt. Vänernsee: Ebenes oder dichtes 
Eis von 10-25 cm Dicke. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Mit sehr dichtem 15-35 cm dicken Eis bedeckt, 
welches übereinandergeschoben und aufgepresst 
ıst. In der Irbenstraße liegt 30-40cm dickes 
xompaktes Eis mit Presseisrücken. Im Südlichen 
Bereich eine Zone mit sehr lockerem Eis. 
Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-40 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Pärnubucht liegt 45- 
50 cm dickes Festeis. - Lettische Küste: Im Hafen 
von Riga dichtes Packeis. Im Fahrwasser Riga- 
Mersrags sehr lockeres, danach sehr dichtes Eis. Im 
Fahrwasser zwischen der Irbenstraße und Ventspils 
Walfisch there is 10-15 cm thick open ice and then 
ı1ew ice to Timmendorf. In Rostock there is open 
water to very open 5-15 cm thick ice on the 
‚Jnterwarnow. The Bodden waters south of Darß 
and Zingst are covered with 5-30 cm thick fast ice. 
The Inner waters north of Stralsund are covered 
with around 30 cm thick fast ice. In the harbour of 
Stralsund there is 15-30cm thick open water, farther 
out on the fairway to Freesendorfer Haken there is 
15-40 cm thick compact ice, which is rafted and 
‘idged in places. At the coast of the Greifswalder 
Bodden there is 20-30cm thick fast ice; in the 
1orthern part and the outer area there is open water 
with up to 30cm thick floes. On the northern 
Peenestrom there 15-30cm thick open ice between 
Peenemünde and Ruden. In the inner Bodden 
waters, on the southern Peenestrom and in Kleines 
Yaff there is about 10-30 cm thick fast ice with 
some open areas. - Lithuanian Coast: In the 
entrance and in the port of Klaipeda open shuga 
and pancake ice is slowly drifting in northwesterly 
direction. On the fairways towards the south there is 
open water. The Courland Lagoon is covered with 
40-65 cm thick fast ice. - Polish Coast: There is up 
to 25cm thick fast ice in the Stettin Lagoon, in the 
fairway to Stettin there is 15-20cm thick very open 
ce. - Swedish Coast: At Karlskrona there is open 
10-25 cm thick ice. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
There is new ice and 15-25cm thick, open to very 
close ice north of the line Almagrundet -Ristna. 
Latvian Coast: Close pack ice in the port of 
Ventspils, open pack ice in Liepaja, open water on 
the fairway in-between. Other fairways are ice free. 
Swedish coast: In the inner archipelagos there is 
10-40cm thick fast ice. At sea there is mostly 10- 
25cm thick very close ice between Svenska 
Högarna and Kopparstenarna. Further south, up to 
Ölands norra Udde, there is close drift ice and new 
ice up to 40nm off the coast. In Kalmarsund there 
is up to 40 cm thick very close drift ice south of Blä 
Jungfrun. Lake Mälaren: Covered with up to 40 cm 
thick fast ice. Lake Vänern: Level ice or close ice 
of 10-25 em thiekness. 
Gulf of Riga 
Covered with very close 15-35 cm thick ice, which 
is rafted and ridged. In the Irben strait there is 30- 
40cm thick ridged compact ice. In the southern 
area a zone with very open ice.. 
Estonian Coast: In Moon Sound there is 20-40 cm 
thick fast ice, in the Pärnu Bay there is 45-50 cm 
thick fast ice. - Latvian Coast: In the port of Riga 
olose pack ice. In the fairway Riga-Mersrags very 
apen ice, then very close ice. In the fairway from 
Irbes Strait to Ventspils at the beginning open pack 
ice, further ice free.
