Winden Eisdrift in die südliche Bucht. Im Fahrwasser 
Riga-Mersrags-Kolka sehr lockeres Packeis. Nahe 
Xolka beginnende Eisverdichtung. In der Irbenstraße 
<xompaktes, aufgepresstes Eis mit Dicken von 30-50 
cm. Im Fahrwasser zwischen der Irbenstraße und 
Ventspils anfänglich lockeres Packeis, dann eisfrei. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Bucht von Narva befindet 
sich Festeis an der Küste, weiter draußen sehr 
ockeres Eis. In der Bucht von Kunda befindet sich 
ockeres Eis. Auch in der Muugabucht ist ein 
schmaler Festeisstreifen an der Küste, ansonsten 
dichtes Treibeis. In der Bucht von Tallinn dichtes 
Treibeis. - Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 
20-50 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb hat sich eine 
Rinne geöffnet mit Neueisbildung im Westen. Weiter 
südlich dünnes, sehr dichtes sowie 15-40 cm dickes 
dichtes und sehr dichtes Eis. In östlichen Gebieten 
<ommen sowohl starke Presseis-rücken aber auch 
Zereiche mit lockerem Eis vor. - Russische Küste: 
In den Häfen von St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter 
westlich im Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 45-60 cm dickes 
Festeis, dann sehr dichtes 30-45 cm dickes Eis bis 
Seskar, bis Mohni sehr dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis, 
gefolgt von dichtem und lockerem 10-25 cm dicken 
Eis. - Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 40-55 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt, weiter bis zum Leuchtturm 
Sommers kommt sehr dichtes 30-45 cm dickes Eis 
vor, dann dichtes bis sehr dichtes 20-30 cm dickes 
Eis. - Im Berkezund ist 40-55 cm dickes Festeis, in 
der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 30-45 cm dickes Eis. - In 
der Lugabucht liegt 25-40 cm dickes Festeis bis zur 
Breite von Kap Ustinski, danach dichtes 25-40 cm 
dickes Eis. In der Copora Bucht 25-40 cm dickes 
Festeis, in der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 25-40 cm dickes 
Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 20-45 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 10-30 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis und zusammengefrorenes Treibeis bis 
Jtö. Weiter außerhalb dichtes 5-30 cm dickes Eis. 
Älandsee 
In der Älandsee ist 10-30 cm dickes Eis, kompaktes 
Treibeis vor der schwedischen Küste. Eisdruck tritt 
auf. Eine Rinne hat sich vor Äland geöffnet. 
Bottensee 
In den Schären befindet sich 20-50 cm Festeis, auf 
offener See sehr dichtes bis kompaktes 10-40 cm 
dickes im zentralen und südlichen Teil mit Presseis- 
‚rücken in der westlichen Hälfte. 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 25-50 cm 
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb der Festeiskante befindet 
sich 10-25 cm dickes Treibeis, die Eiskonzentration 
varliert zwischen sehr locker bis dicht. Weiter 
außerhalb tritt Neueis und offenes Wasser auf, 
ungefähr bis zur Linie mittlere Bottensee - Breite von

Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In bay of Narva, fast ice near the 
zoast and very open ice further out. Very open ice 
in Kunda bay. In Muuga bay is a narrow strip of fast 
'ce near the coast, else close ice drift. In the bay of 
Tallinn close ice drift. - Finnish Coast: In the 
archipelagos there is 20-50 cm thick fast ice. 
Further out, a lead has opened with new ice 
'ormation in the west. Farther south thin very close 
ce and 15-40 cm thick close and very close ice. In 
the eastern parts some heavy ridges but also some 
areas of open ice. - Russian Coast: In the 
narbours of St. Petersburg there is fast ice. Farther 
westwards on the fairway 45-60 cm thick fast ice

Ustinski and farther out very close 25-40 cm thick 
ice. In the Copora Bay 25-40 cm thick fast ice, in 
the entrance there is very close 25-40 cm thick ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the Archipelago Sea there is 20-45 cm thick fast 
ice in the inner archipelago. In the outer skerries, 
10-30 cm thick level ice and consolidated drift ice 
to Ut6. Farther out, 5-30 cm thick close ice 
Sea of Äland 
In the Sea of Äland 10-30 cm thick, compact drift 
ice off the Swedish coast. Ice pressure occurs in 
the ice. A lead has opened off the coast of Aland. 
Sea of Bothnia 
In the archipelagos there is 20-50 cm thick fast ice, 
at sea very close to compact 10-40 cm thick ice 
occurs in the central and southern with ridges in the 
western half. 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago 25-50 cm thick 
fast ice occurs. Off the fast ice edge, there is 10-25 
cm thick drift ice, with the concentration varying 
'rom very open to close. Farther out, new ice and 
open water approx. to the central line of the Sea of
