Westliche und Südliche Ostsee 
Dänische Küste: In kleineren Häfen und geschützt 
liegenden und flachen Küstengewässern liegt bis zu 
30 cm dickes Festeis. - Deutsche Küste: Die innere 
Flensburger Förde ist mit 10-15 cm dickem Eis 
bedeckt, ebenso wie die Schlei. Bei Eckernförde 
kommt sehr lockeres 5-15 cm dickes Eis vor. Im 
Neustädter Hafen lockeres 10-15 cm dickes Eis. Bei 
Wismar liegt in den Buchten 10-15 cm dickes Eis, 
die Fahrrinne ist eisfrei. In Rostock kommt auf der 
Unterwarnow örtlich sehr dichtes 10-30 cm dickes 
Eis, sonst offenes Wasser vor. 20-30 cm dickes 
Festeis liegt in den inneren Boddengewässern und 
im Haff, sowie an den Küsten des Greifswalder 
Boddens. Im inneren Greifswalder Bodden über- 
wiegend kompaktes bis zu 30 cm dickes Eis, in den 
Außenbereichen teils aufgelockert, teils stark 
zusammengeschoben. In der Pommerschen Bucht 
treibt lockeres bis dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis. Im 
Hafen von Sassnitz und außerhalb davon sehr 
ockeres Eis. - Litauische Küste: Überwiegend 
sisfrei. Das Kurische Haff ist mit 50-63 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt. - Polnische Küste: Im Stettiner 
Haff liegt 25-30 cm dickes Festeis, im Fahrwasser 
Szczecin — Swinoujs$cie lockeres 25-30 cm dickes 
Trümmereis. Im Hafen Szczecin sehr lockeres, im 
Hafen Swinoujscie dichtes 10-30 cm dickes 
Trümmereis. In der Pommerschen Bucht kommt im 
rahrwasser offenes Wasser vor. - Schwedische 
Küste: Bei Karlskrona sehr dichtes 10-25 cm dickes 
Eis 
Western and Southern Baltic 
Danish Coast: In small harbours and sheltered 
and shallow coastal waters there is up to 30 cm 
thick fast ice. - German Coast: The inner fjord of 
Flensburg is covered with 10-15 cm thick ice, as 
well as the Schlei. At Eckernförde there is very 
open 5-15 cm thick ice. In the port Neustadt open 
10-15 cm thick ice. At Wismar there is 10-15 cm 
thick ice in the bays, the fairway is ice-free. At 
Rostock there is partly compact ice 10-30 cm thick 
ice on the Unterwarnow, else open water. 20-30 
cm thick fast ice occurs in the Bodden waters and 
in the Haff as well as along the coast of the 
Greifswalder Bodden. In the inner Greifswalder 
Bodden there is mostly compact up to 30 cm thick 
ice, which is partly more open, partly heavily 
compacted in the outer part. In the Pomeranian 
Bight open to close 10-20 cm thick ice occurs. At 
‘he port of Sassnitz and farther out very open ice is 
drifting. - Lithuanian Coast: Mostly ice-free. The 
Courland Lagoon is covered with 50-63 cm thick 
fast ice. - Polish Coast: In Szczecin Lagoon there 
is 25-30 cm thick fast ice; on the fairway Szczecin 
— Swinouj$cie there is open 25-30 cm thick brash 
ice. In the port of Szczecin open, in the port of 
Swinoujscie close 10-30 cm thick ice. In the 
Pomeranian Bight there is open water on the 
fairway. - Swedish Coast: At Karlskrona there is 
very close 10-25 cm thick ice. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Die Eisgrenze in der N-lichen Ostsee verläuft auf der 
Linie Almagrundet — 33 sm S-lich von Utö6 — 25 sm 
S-lich von Bengtskär. 
Estnische Küste: Vor der Küste von Saaremaa und 
Tiiumaa kommt sehr lockeres bis lockeres 5-20 cm 
dickes Eis vor. - Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von 
Ventspils sehr lockeres 5-10 cm dickes Eis, im 
dafen von Liepaja lockeres dünnes Eis. In den 
Fahrwassern kommt sehr lockeres Treibeis oder 
offenes Wasser vor. -Schwedische Küste: In den 
inneren Schären von Stockholm liegt 25-40 cm, im 
E-lichen Teil 5-25 cm dickes Festeis. Auf See 
dichtes bis sehr dichtes 5-15 cm dickes Eis. Im 
Kalmarsund sehr dichtes bis zu 40 cm dickes Eis. 
Mälarsee: Mit bis zu 40 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. 
Vänernsee: Im Värmlandssjön liegt an der Küste 
30-50 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon ebenes 
oder sehr dichtes Eis, 5-20 cm dick. Im Dalbosjön 
kommt ebenes oder sehr dichtes 15-25 cm dickes 
Eis vor. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
The ice edge in the northern Baltic runs along the 
'ine Almagrundet — 35 nm south of Utö6 — 25 nm 
south of Bengtskär. 
Estonian Coast: Off the coast of Saaremaa and 
Hiiumaa very open to open 5-20 cm thick ice 
occurs. - Latvian Coast: In the port of Ventspils 
there is very open 5-10 cm thick ice, in the port of 
_iepaja open thin ice. On the fairways there is very 
open drift ice or open water. - Swedish coast: In 
'he inner archipelago of Stockholm there is 25-40 
cm, in the eastern parts 5-25 cm thick fast ice. At 
sea there is close to very close 5-15 cm thick ice. 
'n the Kalmar Strait there is very close, up to 40 cm 
thick ice. Lake Mälaren: Covered with up to 40 cm 
thick fast ice. Lake Vänern: In the Värmlandssjön 
at the coast there is 30-50 cm thick fast ice, farther 
out level or very close ice, 5-20 cm thick. In the 
Dalbosjön level or very close 15-25 cm thick ice 
OcCcurs. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Mit sehr dichtem bis dichtem 15-30 cm dicken Eis 
bedeckt. 
Gulf of Riga 
Covered with very close to close 15-30 cm thick 
ice
