Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Entlang der gesamten Küste liegt dichtes 10-20 cm 
dickes Eis, sonst mit sehr dichtem 15-30 cm dicken 
Eis bedeckt. 
Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-40 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Pärnubucht liegt bis 
zur Breite 58N 45-55 cm dickes Festeis. In der 
Irbenstraße kommt kompaktes und aufgepresstes 
20-40 cm dickes Eis vor. - Lettische Küste: Im 
Hafen von Riga dichtes Treibeis, im Fahrwasser 
Riga — Irbenstraße sehr dichtes 15-35 cm dickes 
Eis, bei Kolka mit Pressungen, in der Irbenstraße 
dichtes Eis. Weiter im Fahrwasser bis Ventspils 
dichtes dünnes Treibeis. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Küstennähe kommt in den 
3uchten 5-20 cm dickes Festeis, weiter außerhalb 
sehr lockeres dünnes Treibeis vor. - Finnische 
Küste: In den Schären liegt 20-50 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon zusammengeschobenes, 
stark aufgepresstes 15-40 cm dickes Eis und einige 
Stellen mit Neueis. - Russische Küste: In den 
Adäfen von St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter 
westwärts im Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 40-55 cm dickes 
Festeis, dann sehr dichtes 25-40 cm dickes Eis bis 
5eskar, gefolgt von sehr dichtem bis dichtem 15-30 
cm dicken Eis. - Die innere Vyborgbucht ist mit 35- 
50cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, weiter bis zum 
_euchtturm Sommers kommt sehr dichtes 25-40 cm 
dickes Eis, dann dichtes bis sehr dichtes 20-30 cm 
dickes Eis vor. - Im Berkezund 35-50 cm dickes 
Festeis, In der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 25-40 cm dickes 
Eis. - In der Copora- und Luga Bucht liegt 25-35 cm 
dickes Festeis, in den Einfahrten sehr dichtes 25- 
40 cm dickes Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 20-45 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 20-30 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis und zusammengefrorenes Treibeis bis 
ıach Utö. Weiter S-wärts zuerst Neueis, dann sehr 
dichtes 5-20 cm dickes Eis bis zur Breite von 
Almagrundet. 
Älandsee 
Mit dichtem bis sehr dichtem, teilweise überein- 
andergeschobenem 5-15 cm dicken Eis bedeckt. 
Bottensee 
Vollständig eisbedeckt. 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 25-50 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon kommt auf etwa 5- 
15 sm dünnes ebenes Eis, dann dichtes 5-20 cm 
dickes Eis vor. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
Schären liegt 20-40 cm dickes Festeis. Auf See sehr 
dichtes 10-30 cm dickes Eis mit Presseisrücken. 
Von der Gävlebucht bis zur Alandsee liegt ein 
Gulf of Riga 
Along the whole coast close 10-20 cm thick ice 
Occurs, else covered with very close 15-30 cm thick 
ice. 
Estonian Coast: In Moonsund there is 20-40 cm 
“hick fast ice, in the Pärnu Bay there is 45-55 cm 
lhick fast ice up to the latitude 58° N. In the Irben 
Strait there is compact and ridged 20-40 cm thick 
ice. - Latvian Coast: In the port of Riga close 
slush, on the fairway Riga —- Irben Strait there is 15- 
35 cm thick ice, near Kolka with ice pressure, in 
Irben Strait close ice. Farther out on the fairway to 
Ventspils there is close thin drift ice. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Bays there is near the 
coast 5-20 cm thick fast ice, farther out very open 
‘hin drift ice. - Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos 
‘here is 20-50 cm thick fast ice. Off the fast ice 
“here is compact, heavily ridged 15-40 cm thick ice 
and some areas of new ice. - Russian Coast: In 
Ihe harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast ice. 
Farther westwards on the fairway 40-55 cm thick fast

ice to Seskar, followed by very close and close 15-30 
cm thick ice. - The inner Vyborg Bay is covered with 
35-50 cm thick fast ice, followed by very close 25-40 
cm thick ice up to the lighthouse Sommers, farther 
out there is close to very close 20-30 cm thick ice. - 
n Berkezund there is 35-50 cm thick fast ice, in the 
entrance there is very close 25-40 cm thick ice. - In 
‘he Luga and Copora Bays there is 25-35 cm thick 
jast ice, in the entrances consolidated 25-40 cm 
thick ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 20-45 cm thick 
fast ice, in the outer skerries there is 20-30 cm 
*hick level ice and consolidated drift ice to Utö.
