cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, gefolgt von 
zusammenhängendem 20-35 cm dicken Eis bis zum 
Leuchtturm Sommers. Weiter außerhalb liegt sehr 
dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund 30- 
45cm dickes Festeis, in der Einfahrt zusammen- 
hängendes 20-35 cm dickes Eis. - In der Copora- 
und Luga Bucht liegt 20-30 cm dickes Festeis, in 
den Einfahrten zusammenhängendes 20-30 cm 
dickes Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 20-35 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 15-25 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis, dann zusammengefrorenes Eis bis Utö. 
Bis zur Eisgrenze etwa auf der Linie Almagrundet — 
10 sm S-lich von Suomen Leijona — Glotovi - 15 sm 
W-lich von Ristna kommt dünnes ebenes Eis und 
Neueis vor. 
Älandsee 
Bedeckt mit ebenem oder dichtem 5-15 cm dicken 
Eis. 
The inner Vyborg Bay is covered with 30-45 cm thick 
fast ice, followed by consolidated 20-35 cm thick ice 
to the lighthouse Sommers, farther out very close 15- 
30 cm thick ice. - In Berkezund there is 30-45 cm 
thick fast ice, in the entrance there is consolidated 
20-35 cm thick ice. - In the Luga and Copora Bays 
there is 20-30 cm thick fast ice, in the entrance 
consolidated 20-30 cm thick ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 20-35 cm thick 
fast ice, in the outer skerries there is 15-25 cm 
'hick level ice, then consolidated ice to Utö. Farther 
off thin level ice and new ice up to the ice edge at 
about the line Almagrundet — 10 nm south of 
Suomen Leijona — Glotovi — 15 nm west of Ristna 
OCCUrS. 
Sea of Äland 
Covered by level or close 5-10 cm thick ice. 
Bottensee 
im zentralen Teil kommt noch offenes Wasser mit 
Neueisbildung vor, sonst vollständig eisbedeckt. 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 20-45 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon kommt auf etwa 
10-25 sm dünnes ebenes Eis und sehr dichtes 10- 
20 cm dickes Eis vor. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
Schären liegt 20-40 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb 
davon 5-15 cm dickes ebenes Eis. Auf See N-lich 
der Breite 62N dichtes 10-30 cm dickes Eis. Im S- 
Teil kommt zwischen Västra Banken und 
Grundkallen sehr dichtes 15-35 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Von Finngrundet bis Älandsee liegt dünnes ebenes 
Eis. Ängermanälv ist mit bis zu 50 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Nearly totally ice covered, only in the central part 
open water with new ice formation. 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 20-45 
cm thick fast ice, farther out an approximately 10- 
25 nm wide belt of thin level ice and very close 10- 
20 cm thick ice. - Swedish Coast: In the 
archipelagos there is 20-40 cm thick fast ice, 
farther out 5-15 cm thick level ice. At sea there is 
close 10-30 cm thick ice north of the latitude 62N . 
n the southern part there is very close 15-35 cm 
thick ice between Västra Banken and Grundkallen. 
=-rom Finngrundet to the Sea of Aland there is thin 
level ice. The Ängermanälv is covered with up to 
50 cm thick fast ice. 
Norra Kvarken 
Auf See meist sehr dichtes und übereinander- 
geschobenes 15-40 cm dickes Eis und dünnes 
sbenes Eis. 
Finnische Küste: Von Vaasa bis Norra Gloppsten 
25-45 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon bis etwa 
zur Breite von Kaskinen sehr dichtes 10-30 cm 
dickes Eis und Neueis. - Schwedische Küste: W- 
lich von Holmöarna 30-60 cm dickes Festeis, 
außerhalb davon kommt meist sehr dichtes 20-40 
cm dickes Eis mit einigen groben Eisschollen und 
Presseisrücken dazwischen vor. Von Nordvalen N- 
wärts entlang der Küste verläuft eine mit Neueis 
bedeckte Rinne. 
Bottenvik 
Vollständig eisbedeckt. 
Finnische Küste: Die N-lichen Schären sind mit 30- 
50 cm, die S-lichen Schären mit 20-40 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb des Festeises liegt im 
Norden bis zu der Linie Raahe — Nygrän zusammen- 
Norra Kvarken 
At sea mostly very close, rafted 15-40 cm thick ice 
and thin level ice. 
Finnish Coast: From Vaasa to Norra Gloppsten

approximately up to the latitude of Kaskinen there

.egad covered with new ice runs from Nordvalen 
northwards alonaq the coast.

Totally ice covered. 
Finnish Coast: The northern archipelagos are 
covered with 30-60 cm, the southern archipelagos 
with 20-40 cm thick fast ice. Off the fast ice there is 
consolidated, heavily ridged 30-50 cm thick ice
