Küste dichtes bis sehr lockeres bis zu 15 cm dickes ice or new ice. In the Bight of Gdansk open 15-30 
Eis oder Neueis. In der Gdansker Bucht kommt cm thick ice occurs 
ockeres 15-30 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Estnische Küste: Vor der Küste von Saaremaa und 
diiumaa kommt lockeres bis dichtes 5-15 cm dickes 
Eis vor. - Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Ventspils 
sehr lockeres dünnes Eis, im Hafen von Liepaja liegt 
sehr dichtes 5-10 cm dickes Eis. In den 
Fahrwassern kommt offenes Wasser vor. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den Schären von Stock- 
10lm bis Karlskrona liegt 15-40 cm dickes Festeis. 
Auf See zwischen Svenska Högarna und Oxelösund 
Eisbrei oder Neueis. Im Kalmarsund sehr dichtes bis 
zu 40 cm dickes Eis im N-Teil und kleine 
Trümmereisbarriere außerhalb Oskarshamn. 
Mälarsee: Mit bis zu 40 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. 
Vänernsee: Im Värmlandssjön liegt an der Küste 
30-50 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon dünnes 
Eis und Neueis. In Vänersborgsviken, Kinneviken 
Ind in den Schären von Lur6 bis zu 50 cm dickes 
Festeis oder ebenes Eis. Im Dalbosjön liegt im S- 
Teil zusammengeschobenes Eis, ansonsten kommt 
15-25 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Entlang der E-Küste verläuft eine 5-10 sm breite 
Rinne, sonst mit sehr dichtem 5-30 cm dicken Eis 
bedeckt. In der Irbenstraße liegt kompaktes 20-40 
cm dickes Eis. 
Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-40 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Pärnubucht liegt bis 
zur Breite 58° N 45-50 cm dickes Festeis. - 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Riga dichtes bis 
sehr dichtes bis zu 15 cm dickes Eis, weiter im 
Fahrwasser sehr dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis bis 
Mersrags und sehr dichtes 10-15 cm dickes Eis bis 
zur Irbenstraße. In der Irbenstraße und bei Kolka 
kommt es zu Aufpressungen und Neueisbildung. 
Weiter im Fahrwasser bis Ventspils überwiegend 
ockeres 5-15 cm dickes Eis. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Auf See im Norden und Osten sehr dichtes Eis, im 
Süden dünnes ebenes Eis. 
Estnische Küste: In der Küstennähe kommt in der 
\arva Bucht ein Festeissaum vor, sonst sehr dichtes 
10-20 cm dickes Eis. In der Kunda- und Muugabucht 
ijegt sehr dichtes 5-15 cm dickes Eis. In Tallinnbucht 
an der Küste 5-15 cm dickes Festeis, weiter 
außerhalb kommt dichtes 5-10 cm dickes Eis vor. - 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 20-45 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon überwiegend sehr 
dichtes Eis, im Westen 15-30 cm dick und 
aufgepresst und im Osten 25-40 cm dick und stark 
aufgepresst. - Russische Küste: In den Häfen von 
St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter westwärts im 
Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 40-55 cm dickes Festeis, 
dann zusammenhängendes 20-35 cm dickes Eis bis 
Malyj, außerhalb davon sehr dichtes 15-30 cm 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Estonian Coast: Off the coast of Saaremaa and 
Hiiumaa open to close 5-15 cm thick ice occurs. - 
Latvian Coast: In the port of Ventspils there is 
open water, in the port of Liepaja very close 5-10 
cm thick ice. On the fairways there is open water. - 
Swedish coast: In the archipelago from Stockholm 
'o Karlskrona there is 15-40 cm thick fast ice. At 
sea between Svenska Högarna and Oxelösund 
‘here is shuga or new ice. In the Kalmar Strait there 
is very close, up to 40 cm thick ice in the northern 
part and a minor brash ice barrier off Oskarshamn. 
Lake Mälaren: Covered with up to 40 cm thick fast 
ice. Lake Vänern: In the Värmlandssjön at the 
coast there is 30-50 cm thick fast ice, farther out 
thin drift ice and new ice. In Vänersborgsviken, 
Kinneviken and in the archipelago of Lurö there is 
up to 50 cm thick fast ice or level ice. In the 
Dalbosjön there is compact ice in the southern part, 
else 15-25 cm thick ice occurs. 
Gulf of Riga 
A 5-10 nm wide lead runs along the eastern coast, 
else covered with very close 5-30 cm thick ice. In 
'he Irben Strait there is compact 20-40 cm thick ice. 
Estonian Coast: In Moonsund there is 20-40 cm 
‘hick fast ice, in the Pärnu Bay there is 45-50 cm 
*hick fast ice up to the latitude 58° N. - Latvian 
Coast: In the port of Riga close to very close up to 
!5 cm thick ice, farther out on the fairway there is 
very close 15-30 cm thick ice to Mersrags and very 
close 10-15 cm thick ice to the Irben Strait. In the 
rben Strait and near Kolka there is hummocking 
and new ice formation. Farther out on the fairway 
to Ventspils there is open 5-15 cm thick drift ice. 
Gulf of Finland 
At sea there is very close ice in the north and the 
east, in the south thin level ice. 
Estonian Coast: In the Narva Bay there is near 
the coast a belt of fast ice, then very close 10-20 
cm thick ice. In the Kunda and Muuga Bays there is 
very close 5-15 cm thick ice. In the Tallinn Bay 
‘here is 5-15 cm thick fast ice near the shore and 
‚arther out there is close 5-10 cm thick ice. - 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 20-45 
om thick fast ice. Off the fast ice there is mostly 
very close ice, 15-30 cm thick and ridged in the 
west and 25-40 cm thick and heavily ridged in the 
sastern part. - Russian Coast: In the harbours of 
St. Petersburg there is fast ice. Farther westwards on 
the fairway 40-55 cm thick fast ice occurs to Kotlin, 
ihen consolidated 20-35cm thick ice to Malyj. 
Farther out there is very close 15-30 cm thick ice. -
