Im Dalbosjön liegt im Süden sehr dichtes, teilweise 
aufgepresstes Eis, ansonsten kommt dünnes 
ebenes Eis mit Rissen vor. 
archipelago of Lurö there is 20-50 cm thick fast ice. 
In the Dalbosjön there is very close, partly ridged 
ice in the south, else thin level ice with cracks 
OCccurs. 
Gulf of Riga 
In the southern part new ice, else covered with 
close to very close 10-30 cm thick ice. In the Irben 
Strait there is compact 10-30 cm thick ice in the 
north and open 5-10 cm thick ice in the south. 
Estonian Coast: In Moonsund there is 20-35 cm 
'hick fast ice, in the Pärnu Bay there is 40-50 cm 
*hick fast ice up to the latitude of Kihnu. - Latvian 
Coast: In the port of Riga open thin ice, farther out 
on the fairway there is 15-30 cm thick open ice to 
Mersrags and then close to very close 5-10 cm 
‘hick ice to Irben Strait. At Mersrags there is for 4-7 
km fast ice. In the Irben Strait and near Kolka there 
is some hummocking and new ice formation. 
Farther out on the fairway to Ventspils there is 
mostly open 5-10 cm thick drift ice. 
Gulf of Finland 
At sea there is very close ice in the north and the 
sast, in the southern part new ice. 
Estonian Coast: Near the coast there is a narrow 
belt of fast ice and then new ice in the Narva Bay. 
New ice occurs in the Kunda and Muuga Bays. - 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 20-40 
sm thick fast ice. Off the fast ice there is up to the 
line Utö — Hanko lighthouse -— 7 nm south of 
Jussarö — 10 nm south of Helsinki lighthouse — 
Aod$Ser very close, heavily ridged 10-25 cm thick in 
‘he west and 20-35 cm thick in the east. Farther 
south there is thin ice in places and new ice 
'ormation. - Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. 
Zetersburg there is fast ice. Farther westwards on 
the fairway 20-45 cm thick fast ice occurs to Kotlin, 
then there is an area with new ice and very open ice 
up to the longitude of Cape Dubovskij. Farther out to 
Malyj there is very close 20-35 cm thick ice, followed 
by very close 15-30 cm thick ice. - The inner Vyborg 
Bay is covered with 30-45 cm thick fast ice, farther 
out there is very close 15-30 cm thick ice. - In 
Berkezund there is 25-40 cm thick fast ice, in the 
antrance there is very close 20-35 cm thick ice. - 
Along the coasts of the Luga and Copora Bay there 
is 15-25 cm thick fast ice, in the entrance very 
close 15-30 cm thick ice with areas of new ice. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
im S-Teil Neueis, sonst mit dichtem bis sehr dichtem 
10-30 cm dicken Eis bedeckt. In der Irbenstraße 
iegt kompaktes 10-30 cm dickes Eis im Norden und 
ockeres 5-10 cm dickes Eis im Süden. 
Estnische Küste: Der Moonsund ist mit 20-35 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Pärnubucht liegt bis 
zur Breite von Kihnu 40-50 cm dickes Festeis. - 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Riga lockeres 
dünnes Eis, weiter im Fahrwasser 15-30 cm dickes 
'ockeres Eis bis Mersrags, dann dichtes bis sehr 
dichtes 5-10 cm dickes Eis. Bei Mersrags liegt auf 4- 
7 km Festeis. In der Irbenstraße und bei Kolka 
kommt es zu Aufpressungen und Neueisbildung. 
Weiter im Fahrwasser bis zur Ventspils treibt 
überwiegend lockeres 5-10 cm dickes Eis. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Auf See im Norden und Osten sehr dichtes Eis, im 
Süden Neueis, 
Estnische Küste: In Küstennähe kommt in der 
\arva Bucht ein schmaler Festeissaum vor, sonst 
Neueis. In der Kunda- und Muugabucht tritt Neueis 
auf. - Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 20-40 
cm dickes Festeis. Anschließend kommt bis zur 
_inie Utö6 — Hanko-Leuchtturm — 7 sm S-lich von 
Jussarö — 10 sm S-lich Helsinki-Leuchtturm — 
RodSer sehr dichtes stark aufgepresstes Eis, im 
‘Westen 10-25 cm, im Osten 20-35 cm dick. Weiter 
S-lich treibt örtlich dünnes Eis und bildet sich 
\eueis. - Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. 
Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter westwärts im 
Fahrwasser bis Kotlin 25-45 cm dickes Festeis, es 
folgt ein Gebiet mit Neueis und sehr lockerem Eis 
dis zur Länge von Kap Dubovskij, dann kommt sehr 
dichtes 20-35cm dickes Eis bis Malyj und an- 
schließend liegt sehr dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis. - 
Die innere Vyborgbucht ist mit 30-45 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon liegt sehr dichtes 
‚5-30 cm dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund 25-40 cm 
dickes Festeis, in der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 20-35 cm 
dickes Eis. - An den Küsten der Copora- und Luga 
Bucht liegt 15-25 cm dickes Festeis, in den Ein- 
fahrten sehr dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Eis, in dem 
stellenweise Neueis vorkommt. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 20-30 cm dickes Fest- 
eis, in den äußeren Schären 10-20 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis. Weiter außerhalb sehr dichtes dünnes 
Eis bis Utö. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt 15-40 cm 
dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon kommt auf etwa 5- 
15 sm lockeres dünnes Eis und Neueis vor. - 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 20-30 cm thick 
‚ast ice. In the outer skerries there is 10-20 cm 
thick level ice and new ice. Farther out there is very 
close thin ice to Utö. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelagos there is 15-40 
cm thick fast ice, farther out an approximately 5-15 
nm wide belt of open thin ice and new ice. -
