Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: Auf See tritt nördlich der Breite 
58 N sehr dichtes bis lockeres 5-10 cm dickes Eis 
auf, in der Irbenstraße treibt Neueis. Der Moonsund 
st mit 15-30 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Entlang 
der Südküste von Saaremaa erstreckt sich ein 5- 
10 sm breiter Gürtel mit zusammengeschobenem 5- 
20 cm dicken Eis. In der Pärnubucht liegt 30-40 cm 
dickes Festeis. Weiter außerhalb kommt bis zur 
Breite der Südspitze von Kihnu sehr dichtes 10-15 
cm dickes Eis, dann lockeres Treibeis vor. - 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von Riga treibt lockeres 
Eis. Im Fahrwasser Riga — Irbenstraße sehr lockeres 
Eis, in der Irbenstraße lockeres Eis und weiter nach 
Ventspils offenes Wasser. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Narva- und Kundabucht 
ein schmaler Festeissaum, außerhalb davon 
dünnes Eis, dichtes in der Narvabucht und lockeres 
n der Kundabucht. In der Muuga Bucht an der Küste 
sehr lockeres dünnes Eis. - Finnische Küste: In 
den inneren Schären liegt Festeis, im Westen 5-25 
cm, im Osten 15-25 cm dick. Anschließend kommt 
bis zu der Linie Hanko — Jussarö — Kalbädagrund — 
Gogland dichtes bis sehr dichtes dünnes Eis vor. 
Weiter südlich stellenweise noch sehr lockeres 
dünnes Eis und Neueis. Saimaasee: Im Nordteil 
‚legt 20-35 cm dickes, im mittleren und südlichen 
Teil sowie im Kanal 15-25cm dickes Eis. 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
iegt Festeis. Weiter westwärts im Fahrwasser bis 
Kotlin 15-30 cm dickes Festeis, dann bis Seskar 
sehr dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Eis, anschließend bis 
Gogland sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis. Weiter 
westwärts kommt im Fahrwasser offenes Wasser 
vor. - Die innere Vyborgbucht ist mit 25-40 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon liegt bis 
MoSCnyj sehr dichtes 10-25 cm dickes Eis. - Im 
Zerkezund liegt 15-25 cm dickes Festeis und in der 
Einfahrt sehr dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Treibeis. - An 
den Küsten der Copora- und Luga Bucht liegt 10-15 
cm dickes Festeis, in der Einfahrten sehr dichtes bis 
dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären 10-25 cm dickes Festeis 
und dünnes ebenes Eis, anschließend in den 
äußeren Schären örtlich dünnes Eis. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: At sea, north of 58 N, there is 
very close and open 5-10 cm thick ice, in the Irben 
Strait new ice is drifting. In Moonsund there is 15- 
30 cm thick fast ice, along the southern coast of 
Saaremaa a 5-10 nm wide belt of 5-20 cm thick 
sompact ice occurs. In the Pärnu Bay there is 30- 
40 cm thick fast ice. Farther out up to the latitude of 
'he southern point of the island Kihnu there is 10- 
I5 cm thick very close ice, then open drift ice. - 
Latvian Coast: In the port of Riga there is open 
ice, on the fairway Riga — Irben Strait there is very 
open thin ice, in the Irben Strait there is open ice 
and farther out to Ventspils there is open water. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Narva and Kunda Bays 
there is a narrow belt of fast ice and farther off thin 
ice, close in the Narva Bay and open in the Kunda 
Bay. In the Muuga Bay there is very open thin ice 
near the coast. - Finnish Coast: In the inner 
archipelagos there is fast ice, 5-25 cm thick in the 
west and 15-25 cm thick in the east. Off the fast ice 
'here is close to very close thin ice to the line 
Hanko — Jussarö — Kalbädagrund — Gogland. 
Farther out very open thin ice and new ice in 
places. Lake Saimaa: In the northern part there is 
20-35 cm, in the middle and southern part as well 
as in Canal 15-25 cm thick ice. - Russian Coast: 
n the harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast ice. 
-arther westwards on the fairway 15-30 cm thick fast 
ice occurs to Kotlin, followed by very close 15-25 cm

Berkezund there is 15-25 cm thick fast ice, in the 
entrance there is very close 15-25 cm thick drift ice. 
- Along the coasts of the Luga and Copora Bay 
there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice, in the entrances 
there is 10-20 cm thick very close to close ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 10-25 cm thick 
fast ice and thin level ice. In the outer skerries 
there is thin ice, in places. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelagos there is 
‘5-30 cm thick fast ice, farther out there is a about 
4-7 nm wide belt with close thin ice. - Swedish 
Coast: In the northern archipelagos there is 15-30 
zm thick fast ice. Off the fast ice south of Sundsvall 
belts of close ice are drifting. The Ängermanälv is 
covered with 15-30 thick fast ice. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären 15-30 cm 
dickes Festeis, weiter außerhalb kommt auf etwa 4- 
7 sm dichtes dünnes Eis vor. - Schwedische 
Küste: In den nördlichen Schären liegt 15-30 cm 
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb des Festeises treiben 
südlich von Sundsvall Streifen mit dichtem Eis. Der 
Ängermanälv ist mit 15-30 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt.
