Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Schwedische Küste: In den Stockholmer Schären 
jegt im N-lichen und mittleren Teil dünnes Festeis 
sowie Neueis und im S-lichen Teil ebenes Eis und 
Neueis. Weiter südlich bis Kalmarsund kommt in 
den Schären 5-10 cm dickes ebenes Eis oder 
\leueis vor. Mälarsee: Mit 10-30 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. Vänernsee: In den inneren nördlichen 
Schären und in Vänersborgsviken 10-30 cm dickes 
Festeis. Vor Vänersborgsviken und Kinneviken liegt 
gefrorener Eisbrei. - Lettische Küste: Der Hafen 
von Ventspils ist eisfrei. Im Hafen von Liepaja treibt 
dichtes Eis. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: Auf See nördlich von 58°N und in 
der Irbenstraße kommt Neueis vor. Der Moonsund 
st mit 15-30 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Entlang 
der Nordostküste des Meerbusens und der 
Südküste von Saaremaa erstreckt sich ein 5-10 sm 
breiter Gürtel mit zusammengeschobenem 5-20 cm 
dicken Eis. In der Pärnubucht liegt 25-37 cm dickes 
Festeis. Weiter außerhalb kommt bis zur Breite der 
Südspitze von Kihnu sehr dichtes 10-15 cm dickes 
Eis. - Lettische Küste: Der Hafen von Riga ist 
sisfrei. Im Fahrwasser zur Irbenstraße sehr lockeres 
Eis, in der Irbenstraße lockeres Eis und weiter nach 
Ventspils offenes Wasser. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Narva- und Kundabucht 
jegt ein schmaler Festeissaum, außerhalb davon 
ijegt dünnes Eis, dichtes in der Narva- und lockeres 
n der Kundabucht. In der Muuga Bucht liegt an der 
Küste sehr lockeres dünnes Eis. - Finnische Küste: 
In den inneren Schären liegt Festeis, im Westen 5- 
25, im Osten 10-25cm dick. Anschließend kommt bis 
zu der Linie südlich Jussarö —- Helsinki Leuchtturm — 
xalbädagrund — Vaindlo dünnes ebenes Eis und 
\leueis vor. Weiter südlich stellenweise noch sehr 
ockeres dünnes Eis und Neueis. Saimaasee: Im 
Nordteil liegt 20-35 cm dickes, im mittleren und 
südlichen Teil sowie im Kanal 15-25 cm dickes Eis. - 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
jegt Festeis. Weiter westwärts im Fahrwasser liegt 
bis Kotlin 15-30 cm dickes Festeis, dann bis Seskar 
sehr dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Eis, anschließend bis 
Gogland sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis. Weiter 
bis RodSer kommt Neueis vor. Weiter im 
Fahrwasser kommt 5-15cm dickes, dichtes Eis 
zwischen der Länge von Kap Lobinem und der 
Halbinsel Umindanina vor. - Die innere Vyborgbucht 
st mit 25-40 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb 
davon liegt bis MoSCnyj sehr dichtes 10-25 cm 
dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund liegt 15-25 cm dickes 
Festeis und in der Einfahrt sehr dichtes 15-25 cm 
dickes Eis. - An den Küsten der Copora- und Luga 
Zucht liegt 10-15 cm dickes Festeis, in der 
Einfahrten sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis.

Central and Northern Baltic 
Swedish coast: In the Stockholm archipelago 
there is thin fast ice and new ice in the northern 
and middle parts and thin level ice and new ice in 
the southern part. Farther southwards to the 
Kalmarsund there is 5-10 cm thick level ice or new 
ice in the archipelagos. - Lake Mälaren: Covered 
with 10-30 cm thick fast ice. Lake Vänern: In the 
inner northern archipelagos and in Vänersborgs- 
viken there is 10-30 cm thick fast ice. There is 
frozen shuga off the entrance to Vänersborgsviken 
and Kinneviken. - Latvian Coast: The port of 
Ventspils is ice free. Close ice is drifting in the port 
of Liepaja. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: At sea, north of 58°N, and in the 
'rben Strait there is new ice. In Moonsund there is 
15-30 cm thick fast ice, along the northeastern gulf 
coast and the southern coast of Saaremaa a 5-10 
nm wide belt of 5-15 cm thick compact ice occurs. 
In the Pärnu Bay there is 25-37 cm thick fast ice. 
Farther out up to the latitude of the southern point 
of the island Kihnu there is 10-15 cm thick very 
close ice. - Latvian Coast: The port of Riga is ice 
free, , on the fairway Riga — Irben Strait there is 
very open thin ice, in lirben strait there is open ice 
and farther to Ventspils there is open water. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Narva and Kunda Bays 
there is a narrow belt of fast ice and farther off thin 
ice, close in the Narva Bay and open in the Kunda 
Bay. In the Muuga bay there is very open thin ice 
near the coast. - Finnish Coast: In the inner 
archipelagos there is fast ice, 5-25cm thick in the 
west and 10-25 cm thick in the east. Off the fast ice 
there is thin level ice and new ice to the line south 
of Jussarö — Helsinki lighthouse —- Kalbädagrund — 
Vaindlo. Farther out very open thin ice and new ice 
in places. Lake Saimaa: In the northern part there 
is 20-35 cm, in the middle and southern part as 
well as in Canal 15-25 cm thick ice. - Russian 
Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast 
ice. Farther westwards on the fairway 15-30 cm thick 
fast ice occurs to Kotlin, followed by very close 15-25 
cm thick ice up to Seskar and very close 10-20 cm 
ihick ice to Gogland. Farther out there is new ice to

hick close ice between the longitudes of Cape

cm thick ice. - Along the coasts of the Luga and 
Copora Bay there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice, in the 
entrances there is 10-20 cm thick very close ice.
