Südküste von Saaremaa erstreckt sich ein 3-6 sm 
breiter Gürtel mit 5-10 cm dickem zusammenge- 
schobenen Eis. - Lettische Küste: Im Hafen von 
Riga liegt Neueis und auf dem Fahrwasser zur 
Irbenstraße treibt sehr lockeres, stellenweise auch 
i'ockeres Eis

of 5-10 cm thick compact ice occurs. - Latvian 
Coast: There is new ice in the port of Riga and on 
the fairway towards Irben strait there is very open 
ice, in places also open ice. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In den Kunda- und Narvabucht 
treibt dichtes Eis. In der Kundabucht liegt außerdem 
10och ein Festeissaum. Im Bereich des Hafens von 
Vuuga kommt dichtes Pfannkucheneisbucht vor. - 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 
dünnes Festeis, anschließend kommt von südlich 
Jussarö bis 88sm südlich Porkkala Leuchtturm und 
15sm südlich von Kalbädagrund Neueis and 
Eisbildung vor. Saimaasee: Im Nordteil liegt 20-25 
cm dickes, im mittleren und südlichen Teil sowie im 
anal 15-20 cm dickes Eis. - Russische Küste: In 
den Häfen von St. Petersburg liegt Festeis. Weiter 
westwärts im Fahrwasser liegt bis zur Länge von 
otlin 15-30 cm dickes Festeis, dann bis zur Länge 
von Malyj sehr dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Eis und 
weiter bis 27°20'0 dichtes, 10-20 cm dickes Eis. 
Anschließend kommt bis RodSer Neueis vor. - Die 
nnere Vyborgbucht ist mit 20-30 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt, außerhalb davon liegt bis 60°05'N dichtes 
Jınd sehr dichtes, 10-20 cm dickes Eis. - Im 
3Zerkezund liegt 12-24 cm dickes Festeis und in der 
Einfahrt sehr dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Eis. - An den 
«üsten der Copora- und Luga Bucht liegt 10-15 cm 
dickes Festeis, in der Einfahrten liegt sehr dichtes 
Eis, welches in der Luga Bucht 5-15 cm dick und in 
der Copora Bucht 10-15 cm dick ist. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Narva Bays there is close 
drift ice. In the Kunda Bay there is a narrow fast ice 
belt and then close drift ice. In the area of the port 
of Muuga there is close pancake ice. - Finnish 
Coast: In the inner archipelagos there is thin fast 
ice. Off the fast ice there is new ice and ice 
"ormation from south of Jussarö to 8nm south of 
Dorkkala lighthouse and to 15sm south of 
Kalbädagrund. Lake Saimaa: In the northern part 
there is 20-25 cm, in the middle and southern part 
as well as in Canal 15-20 cm thick ice. - Russian 
Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg there is fast 
ice. Farther westwards on the fairway 15-30 cm thick 
rast ice occurs to the longitude of Kotlin, followed by 
15-25 cm thick very close ice up to the longitude of of 
ihe island Malyj and close, 10-20 cm thick ice up to 
27°20'E. Farther out there is new ice up to the island 
RodSer. - The inner Vyborg Bay is covered with 20- 
30 cm thick fast ice. Farther out there is 10-20 cm 
thick, close and very close ice up to to the latitude of 
50°05'N. - In Berkezund there is 12-24 cm thick fast 
ice, in the entrance there is very close 15-25 cm 
thick ice. - Along the coasts of the Copora Bay 
there is fast ice and in the entrances there is 10- 
15cm thick very close ice. In the Luga Bay there is 
10-15 cm thick fast ice and in the entrance 5-15cm 
thick close ice is drifting. 
Schärenmeer 
In den inneren Schären liegt 5-30 cm dickes Festeis, 
anschließend in den äußeren Schären bildet sich 
Neueis. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 10- 
30cm dickes Festeis, weiter außerhalb kommt auf 
etwa 5sm Breite dünnes, sehr dichtes Eis vor. Am 
Eisrand liegt stellenweise festgestampftes Eis. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 
jegt 10-20 cm dickes Festeis. Auf See kommt 
1ördlich von Härnösand auf 10 sm lockeres dünnes 
Eis, Neueis und Eisbrei vor. Weiter südwärts tritt bis 
ain zur Gävle Bucht Neueis und bis zu 10-15sm von 
der Küste entfernt Neueis auf. In der Gävle Bucht 
.jegt bis Eggegrund zusammengeschobenes 5-15 
cm dickes Trümmereis und ein Gürtel aus 
gefrorenen Eisbreiklumpchen. Der Ängermanälv ist 
mit 15-30 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. 
Norra Kvarken 
Auf See kommt Neueis und sehr dichtes 5-20 cm 
dickes Eis vor. 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 
Archipelago Sea 
In the inner archipelagos there is 5-30 cm thick fast 
ice and in the outer skerries there is new ice 
formation. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelagos there is 
10-30cm thick fast ice, farther out there is a about 
5nm wide belt with thin, very close ice. At the ice

Swedish Coast: In the northern archipelagos there 
is 10-20 cm thick fast ice. At sea north of 
Härnösand there is for 10 nm open there is new up 
thin ice, new ice and shuga. Farther southwards up 
to the Gävle Bight there is new ice up to 10-15nm 
off the coast. thin fast ice in sheltered bays. In the 
Gävle Bight compact 5-15 cm thick brash ice and a 
belt of frozen shuga occurs up to Eggegrund. The 
Ängermanälv is covered with 15-30 thick fast ice.
