Der Eiswinter 2008/09 an den deutschen Nord- 
und Ostseeküsten war der dritte schwache 
Eiswinter in Folge. Die flächenbezogene 
Eisvolumensumme und die reduzierte Eissumme 
(http://www.bsh.de/de/Meeresdaten/Beobachtuna 
en/Eis/Kuesten.|sp). die für 13 eisklimatologische 
Stationen an der Nordseeküste und 13 
eisklimatologische Stationen an der Ostseeküste 
berechnet wurden, betragen für die Nordsee 
0.19 m und 3.7, für die Ostsee 0.13 m und 4.7. 
The ice winter of 2008/09 on the German North 
and Baltic Sea coasts was the third consecutive 
weak ice winter. The accumulated areal ice 
volume and the reduced ice sum 
(http://www.bsh.de/en/Marine data/Observations/ 
lce/StatisticsCoasts.|sp). computed for 13 ice 
climatological stations on the North Sea coast 
and 13 ice climatological stations on the Baltic 
Sea coast, was 0.19 m and 3.7 for the North Sea, 
and 0.13 and 4.7 for the Baltic Sea.
