Übersicht 
Das Eis in der Bottenvik wird zunehmend morsch. 
Mit Wirkung vom heutigen Datum wurden die 
Schifffahrtsbeschränkungen für die schwedischen 
Häfen Karlsborg und Luleä herabgesetzt. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären liegt 
40-70 cm dickes morsches Festeis. Nördlich, östlich 
ind südlich von Hailuoto treiben einzelne 
Eisschollen, sonst kommt bis etwa zur Linie 
Farstugrunden — Raahe-Leuchtturm überwiegend 
sehr dichtes und stark aufgepresstes 20-50 cm 
dickes Eis vor. Südlich davon tritt offenes Wasser 
auf. - Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen 
Schären kommt morsches Festeis und lockeres 
Treibeis vor. Im Nordosten liegt sehr dichtes und 
aufgepresstes 20-50 cm dickes Eis. Auf See treiben 
m Bereich zwischen AMNorströmsgrund und 
Farstugrunden und nordwestlich von Malören grobe 
Eisschollen, sonst tritt überwiegend offenes Wasser 
auf. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
im nördlichen Ostseeraum wird bis zum Ende dieser 
Woche eine Hochdrucklage vorherrschen. Das Eis 
auf See in der Bottenvik wird sich durch zeitweise 
auffrischende Winde aus nördlichen Richtungen 
südwärts auflockern und dabei weiter abnehmen. 
Durch den deutlichen Temperaturanstieg und 
ängere Sonneneinstrahlung während des Tages 
wird das Eis zunehmend morsch, in den Schären 
wird es bis auf die unbedeutenden Reste 
abschmelzen.

Overview 
The ice in the Bay of Bothnia is becoming 
increasingly rotten. 
- Valid from today, the restrictions to navigation for 
the Swedish harbours Karlsborg and Luleä have 
been reduced. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern archipelagos there 
is 40-70 cm thick rotten fast ice. North, east and 
south from Hailuoto single ice floes are drifting. 
Else mostly very close and heavily ridged 20-50 cm 
'hick ice occurs up to about the line Farstugrunden 
- Raahe lighthouse. Farther south there is open 
water. - Swedish Coast: In the northern 
archipelagos there is rotten fast ice and open drift 
ice. In the northeastern part there is very close and 
ridged 20-50 cm thick ice. At sea heavy ice floes 
are drifting in the area between Norströmsgrund 
and Farstugrunden and northwest of Malören, else 
mostly open water occurs. 
Expected Ice Development 
In the northern region of the Baltic Sea a high 
pressure situation will dominate till the end of this 
week. The ice at sea in the Bay of Bothnia will 
100se southwards due to partly freshening winds 
'rom northerly directions and will further decrease 
'hereby. Due to significant rise of air temperatures 
and longer sunshine in the day time the ice is 
Decoming Increasingly rotten, in the archipelagos it 
will almost melt except for minor residues.
