Übersicht 
Jber das Wochenende hat sich der Eisrückgang 
weiter fortgesetzt. Eis kommt überwiegend nur noch 
an den Küsten und im Nordosten der Bottenvik vor. 
Jie Schifffahrtsbeschränkungen zu den finnischen 
Häfen Kokkola und Pietarsaari wurden aufgehoben. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: Saimaasee: Bedeckt mit 10-35 
cm dickem morschen Eis; der Kanal ist fast offen. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Offenes Wasser. - Schwedische 
Küste: Eisfrei. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären liegt 
40-70 cm dickes, rasch morsch werdendes Festeis. 
Außerhalb davon liegt bis zur Linie Farstugrunden — 
Jlkokalla sehr dichtes und stark aufgepresstes 20- 
50 cm dickes Eis. Südlich davon tritt offenes Wasser 
auf. In den südlichen Schären liegt morsches 
ockeres Eis, sonst eisfrei. - Schwedische Küste: In 
den nördlichen Schären 20-60 cm dickes, morsch 
werdendes Festeis, außerhalb der Festeisgrenze 
offenes Wasser. Auf See liegt im Nordosten 
größtenteils sehr dichtes und aufgepresstes 20-50 
cm dickes Eis. Die Eisgrenze verläuft, von Norden 
<ommend, entlang etwa 23°O0 bis zu 64°50'N und 
schwingt dann südostwärts in Richtung Ulkokalla. In 
der Skelleftebucht kommt in Küstennähe dichtes Eis 
vor.

Overview 
Over the weekend the ice retreat continued. Ice is 
present almost exclusively along the coasts and in 
the north-eastern part of the Bay of Bothnia. 
The traffic restrictions to the Finnish ports of 
Kokkola and Pietarsaari were cancelled. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: Lake Saimaa: Covered with 10-35 
cm thick rotten ice; the canal is almost open 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: Open water. - Swedish Coast: 
Ice-free. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: There is 40-70cm thick, rottening 
fast ice in the northern archipelagos. Farther out 
there is very close and heavily ridged 20-50 cm 
thick ice up to the line Farstugrunden — Ulkokalla. 
Farther southwards open water occurs. In the 
southern archipelagos there is rotten open ice, else 
ice-free. - Swedish Coast: The _northern 
archipelagos are covered with 20-60 cm thick 
rottening fast ice. Outside of the fast ice there is 
open water. At sea in the north-eastern part there 
is mostly very close and ridged 20-50 cm thick ice. 
The ice edge runs, coming from the North, along 
about 23°E until 64°50'N and then swings south- 
sastwards towards Ulkokalla. In the bay of 
Skellefteä close ice occurs near to the coast.
