Finland 
icebreaker: OTSO, KONTIO and SISU assist in the Bay of Bothnia. PROTECTOR and LETTO assist in the 
Lake Saimaa. 
Russia 
Tow boat-barges are not assisted to Primorsk. 
Icebreaker: Until April, the 21“, low-powered vessels in the port St. Petersburg can be assisted at need by 
cebreaker KAPITAN ZARUBIN, in the ports Vyborg and Vysotsk by icebreakers KAPITAN IZMAILOV and 
TOR. 
Sweden 
Vessels not suitable for winter navigation, river vessels and tugs with barge can not expect governmental 
cebreaker assistance. All ships entering harbours in the Gulf of Bothnia shall, when passing Svenska Björn 
'N 59°33’ E 20°01’) contact the VTS Gävle on VHF channel 84. 
Icebreaker: YMER, ATLE and ALE assist in the Bay of Bothnia. 
No transit traffic through the Quark west of Holmöarna is allowed.
