Übersicht 
In der nördlichen Bottenvik und im östlichen 
Iinnischen Meerbusen liegt an der Küste Festeis. 
Außerhalb des Festeises liegt überwiegend ein 
schmales Gebiet mit dünnem offenem Eis oder 
Neueis. Ein schmaler Gürtel aus Neueis zieht sich 
auch entlang der Küste der westlichen Bottensee 
1ach Süden. An geschützten Stellen and der 
Küste kommt dünnes Eis oder Neueis auch bis in 
die südliche und westliche Ostsee vor. 
Deutsche Bucht 
Niederländische Küste: In einigen inneren 
Gewässern kommt Neueis vor. 
Skagerrak, Kattegat und Beltsee 
Schwedische Küste: - Vänersee: An der 
Nordküste kommt zwischen Karlstad und 
Kristinehamn 5-15 cm dickes Festeis. Weiter 
südlich kommt in geschützten Buchten entlang 
der Küste dünnes ebenes Eis und Neueis vor. 
Dänische Küste: In einigen geschützten 
Buchten kommt Neueis vor. 
Westliche Ostsee 
Deutsche Küste: In einigen kleineren Häfen, in 
der inneren Schlei und auf Unterwarnow tritt 
Neueis und Neueisbildung auf. Im Barther 
Bodden stellenweise 6cm dickes Eis. 
Südliche Ostsee 
Deutsche Küste: Die inneren Boddengewässer 
sind zum Teil bis zu 5 cm dickem Eis bedeckt. 
Auf dem südlichen Peenestrom und im Kleinen 
Haff kommt bis 5cm dickes Eis vor. Im Hafen

Overview 
There is fast ice along the coast in the northern Bay of 
Bothnia and the easternmost Gulf of Finland. Outside 
of the fast ice there is mostly a narrow region with thin 
apen ice or new ice, A small belt of new ice also 
stretches southwards along the coast in the western 
Sea of Bothnia. In sheltered areas along the whole 
coast, also in the southern and western Baltic thin ice 
and new ice can be found 
German Bight 
Netherlands Coast: In some inner waters there is 
new ice. 
Skagerrak, Kattegat and Belt Sea 
Swedish Coast: - Lake Vänern: At the northern 
coast there is between Karlstad and Kristinehamn 5- 
15 cm thick fast ice, farther south thin level ice or new 
ice occurs in sheltered bays and harbours along the 
coast. Danish Coast: In sheltered bays there is new 
ice in places. 
Western Baltic 
German Coast: In some inner harbours, in the inner 
Schlei and on the Unterwarnow new ice and new ice 
formation occurs. In the Barther Bodden up till 6cm 
thick ice in places. 
Southern Baltic 
German Coast: The inner Bodden waters are partly 
zsovered with up to 5 cm thick ice. The southern 
Peenestrom and Kleines Haff are partly covered with 
5cm thick ice. In the port of Stralsund there is new ice
