Übersicht 
In den offenen Bereichen der Bottenvik hat sich über 
Nacht Neueis gebildet, sonst hat sich die Eislage 
ıler seit gestern nicht wesentlich geändert. Das Eis 
m Finnischen Meerbusen nimmt weiter ab. 
Overview 
In the open areas of the Bay of Bothnia new ice 
has formed over night, else the ice situation is 
almost unchanged here since yesterday. The ice in 
‘he Gulf of Finland is further decreasing. 
Mit Wirkung vom heutigen Datum sind die 
Schifffahrtsbeschränkungen für alle finnischen 
däfen im nördlichen Bottnischen Meerbusen 
1erabgesetzt worden. 
Mit Wirkung vom 17. April 2009 werden die 
Schifffahrtsbeschränkungen für die russischen 
Häfen Vyborg und Vysotsk aufgehoben. 
Valid from today the restrictions to navigation for 
all finnish harbours in the northern Gulf of Bothnia 
have been alleviated. 
- Valid from 17" April 2009 the restrictions to 
navigation for the Russian harbours Vyborg and 
Vysotsk will be cancelled. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the western inner archipelagos 
‘here is rotten ice, in the eastern inner archipelago 
‚0-30 cm thick rottening fast ice occurs. - Lake 
Saimaa: Covered with 30-45 cm thick level ice; in 
:he canal there is broken 10-40 cm thick ice. - 
Russian Coast: The harbours of St. Petersburg are 
ice-free. On the fairway between Petrodvorec and 
he eastern point of Kotlin there is very close to close 
20-35 cm thick ice, else open water occurs up to the 
longitude of Kronstadt. - The innermost Vyborg Bay 
is covered up to the latitude of island Vysotskij with 
25-35 cm thick fast ice in fracturing phase. Farther off 
up to the latitude of the lighthouse Rondo single ice 
strips are drifting. - In the northwestern part of 
Berkezund there is 15-20 cm thick fast ice in 
racturing phase, elsewhere, some strips of close ice 
are drifting. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den westlichen inneren 
Schären kommt morsches Eis, in den östlichen 
nneren Schären 10-30 cm dickes, morsch 
werdendes Festeis vor. - Saimaasee: Bedeckt mit 
30-45 cm dickem ebenen Eis; im Kanal kommt 
zerbrochenes 10-40 cm dickes Eis vor. - Russische 
Küste: Die Häfen von St. Petersburg sind eisfrei. Im 
Fahrwasser kommt zwischen Petrodvorec und 
Ostspitze von Kotlin sehr dichtes bis dichtes 20-35 
cm dickes Eis vor, sonst tritt bis zur Länge von 
KAronstadt offenes Wasser auf. - Die innerste 
Vyborgbucht ist bis zur Breite der Insel Vysotskij mit 
25-35 cm dickem aufbrechenden Festeis bedeckt. 
Außerhalb davon treiben bis zur Breite des 
_euchtturms Rondo einzelne Eisstreifen. - Im 
Nordwestteil von Berkezund liegt 15-20 cm dickes 
aufbrechendes Festeis, woanders treiben einige 
Streifen mit dichtem Eis.
