kommt meist offenes Wasser, örtlich auch lockeres 
10-25 cm dickes Eis vor. - Russische Küste: Die 
Häfen von St. Petersburg sind eisfrei, weiter west- 
wärts kommt im Fahrwasser erst dichtes, 30-40 cm 
dickes Eis bis zur Länge von Lomonosov und dann 
bis zur Länge des Leuchtturms Tolbuchin 25-35cm 
dickes lockeres Eis. Dann eisfrei bis etwa zur Länge 
der Copora Bucht (bei Kap Dolgij). Anschließend 
kommt bis nach Malyj noch ein Gebiet mit sehr 
lockerem Eis vor, westlich davon ist es eisfrei. - Die 
Vyborgbucht ist bis zur Breite der Insel Vichrevoy 
nit 30-45 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. In der Einfahrt 
kommt lockeres, 10-25cm dickes Treibeis bis zum 
Leuchtturm Nerva vor. - Der Berkezund ist mit 15-30 
cm dickem, aufbrechendem Festeis bedeckt, in der 
Einfahrt kommt sehr lockeres Treibeis vor. - In der 
Einfahrt der Luga Bucht tritt offenes Wasser auf, 
ansonsten sind die Buchten von Luga und Copora 
eisfrei. 
Schärenmeer 
In den Zufahrten nach Korra und Lohm meist 
offenes Wasser aber stellenweise auch sehr 
lockeres dünnes Eis. Sonst kommt in den inneren 
Schären morsches ebenes Eis vor. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 15- 
40 cm dickes, morsch werdendes Festeis. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den inneren Buchten und 
4äfen liegt bis zu 25 cm dickes, morsch werdendes 
Festeis. Der Ängermanälven ist mit 30-50 cm 
dickem, stellenweise morsch werdendem Festeis 
bedeckt. Von Järnäsklubb bis nach Ulvöarna findet 
man in Küstennähe Gebiete mit dichtem 5-20 cm 
dicken Eis und Eisbreiklümpchen, sonst auf See 
eisfrei. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Ensten liegt 
20-45 cm dickes Festeis, auf See kommt um 
\lordvalen 5-15cm dickes, sehr lockeres Eis vor. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den Buchten und Häfen 
entlang der Küste und westlich von Holmöarna liegt 
20-40 cm dickes Festeis. Südlich der Linie 
Holmögadd - Helsingkallan meist lockeres dünnes 
eis, südlich von Nordvalen dann offenes Wasser. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: Die nördlichen Schären sind bis 
zur Linie Kemi 2 — Oulu 1 mit 40-70 cm, die 
südlichen Schären mit 20-50 cm dickem Festeis be- 
deckt. Außerhalb davon liegt im Norden sehr 
dichtes, stark aufgepresstes 30-50 cm dickes Eis mit 
einigen Rinnen. Im Süden liegt sehr dichtes und auf- 
gepresstes 15-50 cm dickes Treibeis, in dem in 
Küstennähe einige Rinnen vorkommen. - 
Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 30- 
70 cm, in den südlichen Schären bis zu 60 cm 
dickes Festeis. Auf See liegt im Norden größtenteils 
sehr dichtes aufgepresstes 20-50 cm dickes Eis, in 
Montag, den 06.04.2009

ice free. Farther westwards on the fairway there is 
first close 30-40 cm thick ice up to the longitude of 
lLomonoso and then 25-35 cm thick open ice until the 
length of lighthouse Tolbuchin. From there on it is 
ice-free up to longitude of Cape Dolgij (Copora Bay). 
Linally there is an area of very open ice up to the 
island of Malyj, west of this area it is ice free. - The 
Vyborg Bay is covered with 30-45 cm thick fast ice 
up to the latitude of island Vichrevoy. In the entrance 
10-25 cm thick open drift ice is present up to the 
lighthouse Nerva.. - In the Berkezund there is 15-30 
cm thick fast ice in fracturing phase, in the entrance 
very open drift ice occurs. - In the entrance of Luga 
Bay there is open water, else the Bays of Luga and 
Copora are ice free. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the fairways to Korra and Lohm there is mostly 
open water, but also very open thin ice occurs in 
places. Else rotten level ice occurs in the inner 
archipelagos. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: There is 15-40 cm thick rottening 
rast ice in the inner archipelago. - Swedish Coast: 
‚n the inner bays and harbours there is up to 25 cm 
rottening fast ice. The Ängermanälven is covered 
with 30-50 cm thick, partly rottening fast ice. Close 
to the coast, between Järnäsklubb and Ulvöarna 
there are areas with 5-20cm close drift ice or 
shuga, else at sea ice free. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and Ensten there 
is 20-45 cm thick fast ice, farther 5-15cm thick very 
open drift ice around Nordvalen. - Swedish Coast: 
In bays and harbours along the coast and the west 
af Holmöarna there is 20-40 cm thick fast ice. 
South of the line Holmögadd - Helsingkallan mostly 
open thin ice, south of Nordvalen mostly open 
water. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: The northern archipelagos are 
covered up to the line Kemi 2 —- Oulu 1 with 40-70 
zm, the southern archipelagos with 20-50 cm thick 
fast ice. Farther out in the northern part there is 
very close, heavily ridged 30-50 cm thick ice with 
some leads in places. In the southern part there is 
very close ridged 15-50 cm thick ice, some leads 
are present in places off the coast. - Swedish 
Coast: The northern archipelago are covered with 
30-70 cm, the southern archipelagos with up to 60
