Übersicht 
in der nördlichen Bottenvik liegt in den nördlichen 
Schären bis zu 25 cm dickes Festeis und im 
Finnischen Meerbusen kommt ganz im Osten bis 
15cm dickes Eis vor. Die offene See ist 
ansonsten aber größtenteils eisfrei. Im 
Rigaischen Meerbusen liegt in der Parnu Bucht 
5cm dickes Festeis. 
Jünnes Eis und Neueis tritt weiterhin in vielen ge- 
schützten Buchten und flachen Gebieten der 
gesamten Ostsee auf. Sogar aus der westlichen 
Ostsee gibt es erste Meldungen von Neueis aus 
solchen Gebieten. 
Ab 5.1. gelten für St. Peterburg Schifffahrsbe- 
schränkungen. 
Skagerrak, Kattegat und Beltsee 
Schwedische Küste: - Vänersee: Im Norden 
xommt in geschützten Buchten dünnes Neueis 
Vor. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Schwedische Küste: - Mälarsee: Im westlichen 
Bereich kommt dünnes ebenes Eis oder Neueis 
vor. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Parnu Bucht liegt 5cm 
dickes Festeis, welches etwa 10km breit ist. 
Entlang den Küste tritt stellenweise Neueis auf.

Overview 
In the northern Bay of Bothnia there is up to 25cm 
ihick fast ice in the northern archipelago and in the 
Gulf of Finland up to 15cm thick ice is found in the 
gasternmost part. Else the open sea is in general ice 
free. In Parnu Bay in the Gulf of Riga there is 5cm 
thick fast ice. 
In many regions of the whole Baltic thin ice and new 
ice can be found in sheltered bays and shallow, 
protected areas There are even first reports of new 
ice in sheltered areas of the Western Baltic. 
Traffic restriction for St. Petersburg will take 
effect beginning 55h of January. 
Skagerrak, Kattegat and Belt Sea 
Swedish Coast: - Lake Vänern: Thin new ice is 
present in sheltered bays in the north. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Swedish coast: - Lake Mälaren: In the western part 
thin level ice or new ice occur. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In Parnu Bay there is 5cm thick fast 
ice, which is approximately 10km wide. Along the 
coast there is new ice in places.
