Estonia
Tugs and barges are not assisted to Pärnu.
icebreaker: EVA-316 is assisting to Pärnu Bay. TARMO assists in the ports Kunda and Sillamäe.
Finland
The Saimaa Canal is closed for traffic.
icebreaker: OTSO, KONTIO and SISU assist in the northern Bay of Bothnia. URHO assists in the southern
Bay of Bothnia. VOIMA assists in the Gulf of Finland.
Norway
Navigation in Langärsund (Kragerg) is temporarily closed.
Russia
Tow boat-barges are not assisted to St. Petersburg, Primorsk and Ust-Luga.
icebreaker: Low-powered vessels to St. Petersburg can be assisted at need by port icebreakers SEMYAN
DEZNEV, KAPITAN ZARUBIN, MOSKVA and KAPITAN SOROKIN, in the port Primorsk by icebreaker
ERMAK. Low-powered vessel in the ports Vyborg and Vysotsk by icebreakers KAPITAN IZMAILOV and
TOR. Low-powered vessels in port Ust-Luga are assisted by icebreaker KARU.
Sweden
Vessels not suitable for winter navigation, river vessels and tugs with barge can not expect governmental
cebreaker assistance. All ships entering harbours in the Gulf of Bothnia shall, when passing Svenska Björn
'N 59°33’ E 20°01’) contact the VTS Gävle on VHF channel 84.
icebreaker: YMER and ATLE assist in the Bay of Bothnia. FREJ assists in the southern Bay of Bothnia and
n the Quark. ALE assists in the Quark.
No transit traffic through the Quark west of Holmöarna is allowed.
