Außerhalb davon treibt an der Küste nördlich von 
Aögbonden lockeres Eis und Eisbrei. In der Gävle 
3ucht treiben Streifen mit Eisbreiklümpchen.

of Högbonden. Strips of shuga are also drifting in 
the Bight of Gävle. 
Norra Kvarken 
Auf See kommt nördlich von Nordvalen örtlich sehr 
ockeres bis lockeres 10-40 cm dickes Treibeis vor. 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Ensten liegt 
20-45 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon kommt 
offenes Wasser vor. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
3uchten und Häfen entlang der Küste und westlich 
von Holmöarna liegt 20-40 cm dickes Festeis. In der 
Zufahrt nach Umeä liegt dichtes 5-20 cm dickes Eis. 
Ostlich von Holmöarna kommt ein schmaler Streifen 
aus lockerem 5-20 cm dicken Eis, sonst 
überwiegend offenes Wasser vor. 
Bottenvik 
Auf See kommt südlich von Kokkola sehr lockeres 
Treibeis oder offenes Wasser vor. Nördlich davon 
jegt sehr dichtes und aufgepresstes 10-50 cm 
dickes Eis. 
Finnische Küste: Die nördlichen Schären sind bis 
zur Linie Kemi 2 — Oulu 1 mit 40-70 cm, die 
südlichen Schären mit 20-50 cm dickem Festeis be- 
deckt. Außerhalb davon liegt im Norden sehr 
dichtes, aufgepresstes und übereinandergeschobe- 
ı16es 20-45 cm dickes Eis mit Presseisrücken. Im 
Südteil verläuft nördlich von Kokkola eine 3-8 sm 
breite Küstenrinne, westlich davon liegt sehr dichtes 
10-30 cm dickes Treibeis. Südlich von Kokkola 
kommt offenes Wasser vor. - Schwedische Küste: 
In den nördlichen Schären 20-70 cm, in den süd- 
ichen Schären bis zu 60 cm dickes Festeis. Auf See 
ijegt größtenteils sehr dichtes 20-40 cm dickes Eis, 
n dem Presseisrücken vorkommen. Nördlich von 
Falkensgrund gibt es Bereiche mit bis zu 50 cm 
dicken Eisschollen, weiter im Süden treten dickere 
Schollen nur noch vereinzelt auf. Südlich der Breite 
von Bjuröklubb ist das Eis 10-30 cm dick. In der 
Skelleftea Bucht verläuft von MNygrän nach 
3juröklubb entlang der Festeiskante eine Rinne. 
Südlich von Blackkallen liegt bis Holmöarna ein 
Gebiet mit sehr lockerem und lockerem Eis. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Das Tiefdruckgebiet über dem Baltikum wird sich in 
Verlauf des morgigen Tages südostwärts verlagern, 
danach wird das Wetter im nördlichen Ostseeraum 
bis zum Wochenende durch ein Hoch westlich von 
Skandinavien bestimmt. Der Wind wird im Bottni- 
schen Meerbusen auf Nordwest bis West, im Finni- 
schen Meerbusen auf Nord drehen. Bei leichten bis 
näßigen Nachtfrösten und Tageslufttemperaturen 
Jm den Gefrierpunkt ist in den nächsten vier bis fünf 
Tagen keine wesentliche Eiszunahme zu erwarten. 
Die Eisfelder in der Bottenvik und im Finnischen 
Meerbusen werden sich südwärts auflockern. 
Norra Kvarken 
At sea there is north of Nordvalen very open to

occurs. - Swedish Coast: In bays and harbours 
along the coast and the west of Holmöarna there is 
20-40 cm thick fast ice. In the entrance to Umeä 
‘here is an area of close 5-20 cm thick ice. East of 
Holmöarna there is a narrow belt of open 5-20 cm 
‘hick ice. Otherwise mostly open water occurs. 
Bay of Bothnia 
At sea there is south of Kokkola very open drift ice 
or open water. North of it very close ridged 10-50 
om thick ice occurs. 
Finnish Coast: The northern archipelagos are 
zovered up to the line Kemi 2 — Qulu 1 with 40-70 
sm, the southern archipelagos with 20-50 cm thick 
’ast ice. Farther out, in the northern part, there is 
very close, rafted and ridged 20-45 cm thick ice 
with ridges. In the southern part there is north of 
Kokkola a 3-8 nm wide coastal lead and farther 
westwards very close 10-30 cm thick drift ice. 
South of Kokkola mostly open water occurs. - 
Swedish Coast: The northern archipelago are 
covered with 20-70 cm, the southern archipelagos 
with up to 60 cm thick fast ice. At sea there is 
mostly very close 20-40 cm thick ice with ridges. 
North of Falkensgrund there are areas of up to 50 
cm thick floes, farther south only single thicker 
1o0es occur. South of the latitude of Bjuröklubb the 
ice thickness reaches 10-30 cm. In the Bight of 
Skelleftea a lead runs along the fast ice from 
Nygrän to Bjuröklubb. South of Blackkallen there is 
very open and open ice to Holmöarna. 
Expected Ice Development 
The low over the Baltic States will move to the 
southeast in the course of tomorrow. Thereafter, 
‘he weather in the northern region of the Baltic Sea 
will be set by a high area west of Scandinavia until 
:he week-end. In the Gulf of Bothnia the wind will 
shift to the northwest to west, in the Gulf of Finland 
‘o the north. At light to moderate night frost and air 
'emperatures around the freezing point in the 
daytime, no essential ice formation is to be 
expected within the next four to five days. The ice 
jelds in the Bay of Bothnia and in the Gulf of 
Finland will somewhat loose southwards.
