Außerhalb davon treibt an der Küste nördlich von 
Aögbonden lockeres Eis und Eisbrei. In der Gävle 
3ucht treiben Streifen mit Eisbreiklümpchen. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Ensten liegt 
20-45 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb offenes Wasser. 
. Schwedische Küste: In den Buchten und Häfen 
entlang der Küste und westlich von Holmöarna liegt 
20-40 cm dickes Festeis. In der Zufahrt nach Umeä 
And westlich von Holmögadd liegt festgestampftes 
Trümmereis. Ostlich von Stora Fjäderägg kommt 
dichtes 20-40 cm dickes Eis vor. Ansonsten 
größtenteils lockeres und sehr lockeres Treibeis. 
Bottenvik 
Bis auf eine Rinne im Südosten und eine weitere in 
der Skelleftebucht vollständig eisbedeckt. 
Finnische Küste: Die nördlichen Schären sind bis 
zur Linie Kemi 2 — Oulu 1 mit 40-70 cm, die 
südlichen Schären mit 20-50 cm dickem Festeis be- 
deckt. Außerhalb davon liegt im Norden sehr 
dichtes, teilweise übereinandergeschobenes 20-45 
cm dickes Eis mit Presseisrücken. Im Südteil 
verläuft außerhalb der Festeisgrenze eine 3-10 sm 
breite Rinne, westlich davon liegt sehr dichtes 10-40 
cm dickes Treibeis. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
16rdlichen Schären 20-70 cm, in den südlichen 
Schären bis zu 60 cm dickes Festeis. Auf See liegt 
größtenteils sehr dichtes 20-40 cm dickes Eis, in 
dem Presseisrücken vorkommen. Nördlich von 
Falkensgrund gibt es auch Gegenden mit bis zu 
50cm dicken Eisschollen, weiter im Süden treten 
dickere Schollen nur noch vereinzelt auf. Südlich der 
Breite von Bjuröklubb ist das eis nur noch 10-30cm 
dick. In der Skelleftebucht verläuft entlang der 
Festeiskante eine Rinne von Bijuröklubb nach 
\ygran. Südlich von Blackkallan liegt ein Gebiet mit 
ockerem und sehr lockerem Eis. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Wegen moderater Winde und nicht sehr von Null 
verschiedenen Temperaturen werden bis morgen 
keine größeren Veränderungen der Eislage erwartet. 
Zum Mittwoch bringen nördliche Winde etwas 
kältere Luft, was zuerst aber keine große Anderung 
der Eislage bewirkt.

of Högbonden. Strips of shuga are also drifting in 
the Bight of Gävle. 
Norra Kvarken

Swedish Coast: In bays and harbours along the 
zoast and to the west of Holmöarna there is 20-40 
cm thick fast ice. To the west of Holmögadd and in 
'he entrance to Umeä there are brash ice barriers. 
To the east of Stora Fjäderägg there is an area of 
close, 20-40 cm thick ice. Otherwise open and very 
open drift ice. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Apart from a lead in the south-east and another 
jead in the Bay of Skellefte totally ice covered. 
Finnish Coast: The northern archipelagos are 
covered up to the line Kemi 2 — Oulu 1 with 40-70 
cm, the southern archipelagos with 20-50 cm thick 
’ast ice. Farther out, in the northern part, there is 
very close, partly rafted and ridged 20-45 cm thick 
ice. In the southern part there is a 3-10 nm wide 
lead off the fast ice edge. To the west of the lead 
here is very close 10-40 cm thick drift ice. - 
Swedish Coast: The northern archipelago are 
zovered with 20-70 cm, the southern archipelagos 
with up to 60 cm thick fast ice. At sea there is 
mostly very close 20-40 cm thick ice with ridges. 
North of Falkensgrund there are also areas of up to 
50cm thick floes, further south only single thicker 
%0es do occur. South of the latitude of Bjuröklubb 
‘he ice thickness reaches only 10-30 cm. In the 
Bay of Skellefte there is a lead along the fast ice 
rom Bijuröklubb to Nygran. To the south of 
Blackkallan there is an larger area of open to very 
open ice. 
Expected Ice Development 
Due to moderate winds and temperatures around 
zero degrees no much change is expected in the 
ice till tamorrow. On Wednesday northerly winds 
‚will bring somewhat colder air into the region, but 
in the beginning this will have no larger effect on 
he ice situation.
