Westliche Ostsee
Dänische Küste: Eisfrei. - Deutsche Küste: Eisfrei.

Südliche Ostsee
Deutsche Küste: Eisfrei - Polnische Küste: Eisfrei
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee
Litauische Küste: Im Kurischen Haff 17-26 cm
dickes Festeis, welches im Norden teilweise aufgebrochen
 ist. - Russische Küste: In der Zufahrt
nach Kaliningrad liegt 10-15 cm dickes Festeis,
außerhalb davon etwas Treibeis. - Schwedische
Küste: In geschützten Buchten und Schären kommt
dünnes ebenes Eis oder Neueis vor. Mälarsee: Mit
15-30 cm dickem Festeis oder ebenem Eis bedeckt.
Rigaischer Meerbusen
im Norden liegt sehr lockeres bis lockeres 5-15 cm
dickes Eis, außerhalb der Westküste und in der
irbenstraße kommt offenes Wasser vor.
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt 30-40 cm
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt bis zur
Breite der Insel Kihnu lockeres 10-20 cm dickes Eis
vor, weiter außerhalb dann offenes Wasser. Im
Moonsund liegt in der Küstenzone 15-30 cm dickes,
teilweise aufgebrochenes Festeis, außerhalb davon
dichtes bis sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis. -
Lettische Küste: In der Irbenstraße kommt offenes
Nasser vor.

Finnischer Meerbusen
Die Eisgrenze verläuft etwa auf der Linie Porkkala —
Harmaja — Ruuskeri — Ust-Narva.
Estnische Küste: In der Narvabucht treibt sehr
‚Ockeres Eis und in der Kunda Bucht kommt in
Küstennähe dunkler Nilas vor. - Finnische Küste:
in den inneren Schären 5-25 cm dickes Festeis im
westlichen und 15-25 cm dickes Festeis im östlichen
Teil. Außerhalb davon liegt bis Harmaja und
daapasaari sehr dichtes, teilweise übereinandergeschobenes
 10-25 cm dickes Eis, anschließend
kommt bis zur Eisgrenze dichtes bis sehr dichtes,
übereinandergeschobenes Eis vor. - Russische
Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg dichtes bis
sehr dichtes 20-30 cm dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts
legt bis zur Länge von Kronstadt 30-45 cm dickes
Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt im Fahrwasser bis
zur Länge von Seskar sehr dichtes, pressendes 20-35
 cm dickes Eis vor, dann bis zur Länge des
_euchtturms Tiskeri sehr dichtes, 10-25cm dickes,
pressendes Eis. Anschließend tritt bis zur Eisgrenze
ockeres 10-25 cm dickes Eis auf. - Die Vyborgbucht
ıst mit 30-45 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb
davon liegt zwischen den Breiten von Kap Krestovyj
und Leuchtturm Bol'Soj Fiskar sehr lockeres Eis und
danach sehr dichtes, 15-30 cm dickes, pressendes
Eis, - Im Berkezund liegt 15-25 cm dickes Festeis,
anschließend zuerst ein Gebiet mit sehr lockerem

Western Baltic
Danish coast: Ice-free. - German Coast: Ice-free.
Southern Baltic
German Coast: Ice free. - Polish Coast: Ice free.
Central and Northern Baltic
Lithuanian Coast: In Kursskij Zaliv there is 17-26
cm thick fast ice, which is partly broken in the
north. - Russian Coast: In the entrance to
Kaliningrad there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice, off the
‘ast ice some drift ice is found. - Swedish coast: In
sheltered bays and archipelagos there is thin level
ice or new ice. Lake Mälaren: Covered by 15-30
cm thick fast ice or level ice.
Gulf of Riga
In the North there is very open to open, 5-15 cm
‘hick ice, off the western coast and in the Irben
Strait open water occurs.
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there is 30-40
cm thick fast ice. Farther out up to the latitude of
island Kihnu there is very close 10-20 cm thick ice.
'n the coastal zone of the Moonsund there is 15-30
cm thick, partly broken fast ice, farther off close
and very close 10-20 cm thick ice. - Latvian Coast:
'n the Irben Strait there is open water.

Gulf of Finland
The ice edge runs along about the line Porkkala —
Harmaja — Ruuskeri — Ust-Narva.
Estonian Coast: Very open ice is drifting in the
Bay of Narva and in the Bay of Kunda there is dark
nilas near the coast. - Finnish Coast: In the inner
archipelago there is 5-25 cm thick fast ice in the
western part and 15-25 cm thick fast ice in the
gastern part. Farther off there is to Harmaja and
Haapasaari very close, partly rafted 10-25 cm thick
ice, then close to very close, rafted ice occurs up to
the ice edge.- Russian Coast: In the harbours of
St. Petersburg there is close to very close 20-30 cm
'hick ice. Farther westwards there is 30-45 cm thick
fast ice up to the longitude of Kronstadt. Farther out
on the fairway there is very close, compressed 20-35
cm thick ice up to the longitude of the island Seskar,
then very close, compressed 10-25 cm thick ice
occurs up to the longitude of lighthouse Tiskeri.
Finally there is open, 10-25cm thick ice until the ice
edge. - The Vyborg Bay is covered with 30-45 cm
‘hick fast ice, farther off there is first very open ice
between the latitudes of Cape Krestovyj and
lighthouse Bol'Soj Fiskar, followed by very close,
compressed 15-30 cm thick ice. - In the Berkezund
there is 15-25 cm thick fast ice, farther off there is
first an area of very open ice up to the latitude of
Cape Stirsudden and then very close, compressed
