Kundabucht kommt dichtes, in der Toilabucht 
ockeres 5-15 cm dickes Eis vor. - Finnische Küste: 
In den inneren Schären 5-20 cm dickes Festeis im 
westlichen und 15-25 cm dickes Festeis im östlichen 
Teil. Außerhalb davon liegt bis Tainio und 
daapasaari sehr dichtes übereinandergeschobenes 
10-25 cm dickes Eis, anschließend bis zur 
Eisgrenze kommt dünnes Eis vor. - Russische 
Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg dichtes 15- 
30 cm dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts liegt im 
Fahrwasser bis zur Länge von Kronstadt 25-40 cm 
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt sehr 
dichtes leicht pressendes Eis vor, die Eisdicke 
beträgt bis zur Länge von Kap Ustinskij 15-35 cm 
ind weiter bis zur Länge von Malyj T'’uters 10-25 
cm. Anschließend tritt auf 6-10 sm Neueis, dann bis 
zur Länge von Vaindlo sehr dichtes, leicht 
pressendes 10-25 cm dickes Eis auf. - Die 
Vyborgbucht ist mit 25-40 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt, außerhalb davon liegt 
zusammengeschobenes und sehr dichtes 10-25 cm 
dickes Eis. - Im Berkezund liegt 10-25 cm dickes 
Festeis, anschließend sehr dichtes, leicht 
pressendes 10-25 cm dickes Eis. - In der Luga und 
Sorpora Bucht liegt an den Küsten 10-15 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon zusammenhängendes 10- 
20 cm dickes Eis. 
Älandsee 
in geschützten Buchten und Schären liegt dünnes 
ebenes Eis oder Neueis. 
Schärenmeer 
Ebenes 5-15 cm dickes Eis uns Neueis bis 
Berghamn im Süden und bis Isokari im Norden. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 15- 
40 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon offenes 
Wasser. - Schwedische Küste: In den inneren 
3uchten und Häfen liegt bis zu 30 cm dickes ebenes 
Eis oder Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt östlich 
von Ulv6öarna und Skagsudde dichtes 5-15 cm 
dickes Eis vor. Auf See eisfrei. 
Norra Kvarken 
Vollkommen eisbedeckt. 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Ensten liegt 
20-35 cm dickes Festeis, anschließend kommt bis 
Norrskär zusammenhängendes 5-20 cm dickes 
Treibeis vor. - Schwedische Küste: In den Buchten 
Jnd Häfen entlang der Küste liegt 20-40 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis oder Festeis. Auf See kommt nördlich 
von Nordvalen sehr dichtes 10-25 cm dickes Eis, 
südlich davon meist offenes Wasser vor. In der 
Einfahrt nach Umeä liegt ein Gürtel aus 
jestgestampftem Eis. 
Bottenvik 
Vollkommen eisbedeckt. 
Finnische Küste: Die nördlichen Schären sind mit 
Montag, den 23.02.2009

Bay of Kunda as well as open 5-15 cm thick ice in 
the Bay of Toila. - Finnish Coast: In the inner 
archipelago there is 5-20 cm thick fast ice in the 
western part and 15-25 cm thick fast ice in the 
eastern part. Farther off there is to Tainio and 
Haapasaari very close rafted 10-25 cm thick ice, 
‘hen thin ice occurs up to the ice edge.- Russian 
Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg there is 
slose 15-30 cm thick ice. Farther westwards on the 
'airway there is 25-40 cm thick fast ice up to the 
longitude of Kronstadt. Farther out there is very close 
slow compressed ice, the ice thickness is 15-35 cm 
Up to the longitude of Cape Ustinskij and farther out 
ro the longitude of Malyj T'uters 10-25 cm. Farther 
off there is new ice for 6-10 nm, then very close, 
slow compressed 10-25 cm thick ice up to the 
jongitude of Vaindlo. - The Vyborg Bay is covered 
with 25-40 cm thick fast ice, farther off there is 
compact and very close 10-25 cm thick ice. - In the 
Berkezund there is 10-20 cm thick fast ice, farther off 
‘here is very close, slow compressed 10-25 cm thick 
ice. - In the Luga Bay and the Corpora Bay there is 
10-15 cm thick fast ice along the coasts, farther out 
consolidated 10-20 cm thick ice. 
Sea of Äland 
In sheltered bays and archipelagos there is thin 
level ice or new ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
Level 5-15 cm thick ice and new ice to Berghamn 
in the South and to Isokari in the North. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: There is 15-40 cm thick fast ice in 
:he inner archipelago, farther off open water 
occurs. - Swedish Coast: In the inner bays and 
harbours there is up to 30 cm thick level ice or fast 
ice. Farther off there is east of Ulvöarna and 
Skagsudde close 5-15 cm thick ice. At sea ice free. 
Norra Kvarken 
Totally ice covered. 
Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and Ensten there 
is 20-35 cm thick fast ice, farther off consolidated 
5-20 cm thick drift ice occurs to Norrskär. - 
Swedish Coast: In bays and harbours along the 
coast there is 20-40 cm thick level ice or fast ice. At 
sea there is north of Nordvalen very close 10-25 
zm thick ice, south of it mostly open water. In the 
entrance to Umeä there Is a brash ice barrier
