Westliche Ostsee Western Baltic
Dänische Küste: In den kleinen Häfen und Danish coast: In small harbours and sheltered bays
geschützten Buchten kommt dünnes Eis oder there is thin ice or new ice. - German Coast: The
Neueis vor. - Deutsche Küste: Die Schlei, der Schlei, the city harbour of Rostock and the
Stadthafen Rostock und die Unterwarnow sind Unterwarnow are ice-free. The Bodden waters south
sisfrei. Die Boddengewässer südlich vom Darß und of Darß and Zingst are still covered by thin rottening

Südliche Ostsee
Deutsche Küste: In den inneren Boddengewässern
kommen Örtlich dünne Eisreste vor. In den Häfen
Greifswald-Wieck und Greifswald-Ladebow sowie in
der Dänischen Wiek liegt morsch werdendes
Randeis, stellenweise treibt dichtes dünnes Eis. Auf
dem südlichen Peenestrom kommt bis zu 6 cm
dickes Randeis vor, das Fahrwasser ist meist eisfrel.
Das Achterwasser ist teilweise mit etwa 10 cm
dickem Festeis bedeckt. An der Nordküste des
Kleinen Haffs liegt 10 cm dickes, zum Teil
zusammen-geschobenes und zum Teil
zerbrochenes Eis. In der Südhälfte tritt dichtes 10-
15 cm dickes Eis auf, in den offenen Bereichen
treiben kleine Eisschollen. - Polnische Küste: Im
Hafen Swinoujscie offenes Wasser. Im Haff 5-10 cm
dickes lockeres Eis, welches im _Fahrwasser
Szeczecin — Swinoujscie teilweise übereinanderge-
schoben ist. Im Hafen Szczecin sehr lockeres 5-10
cm dickes Eis.
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen Liepaja dünnes Festeis,
n der Einfahrt sehr lockeres Neueis. Im Fahrwasser
Ventspils — Seegrenze Litauen offenes Wasser. -
Russische Küste: In der Zufahrt nach Kaliningrad
iegt 10-15 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon
a3twas Treibeis. - Schwedische Küste: In
geschützten Buchten und Schären kommt dünnes
ebenes Eis oder Neueis vor. Mälarsee: Mit 15-30
cm dickem Festeis oder ebenem Eis bedeckt.
Rigaischer Meerbusen
im nördlichen und nordwestlichen Teil liegt auf See
dichtes 5-15 cm dickes Eis und treibt Neueis.
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt 10-40 cm
dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt bis zur
Breite der Insel Kihnu sehr dichtes 10-30 cm dickes
Eis, anschließend auf etwa 15-20 sm dunkler Nilas
nd Neueis vor. Im Moonsund liegt in der Küsten-
zone 15-30 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon
sehr dichtes 5-20 cm dickes Eis. - Lettische Küste:
im Hafen Riga und im Fahrwasser Riga —
Irbenstraße treibt sehr lockeres dünnes Eis, in der
IrbenstraBe kommt offenes Wasser vor, sonst
eisfrei.
Finnischer Meerbusen
Die Eisgrenze verläuft etwa auf der Linie Porkkala —
Aelsinki-Leuchtturm — Kalbädagrund — Kunda.
Estnische Küste: In der Narvabucht verläuft
entlana der Küste eine breite Polynye. In der
Southern Baltic
German Coast: In the inner Bodden waters there
are thin ice remnants in places. In the harbours
Greifswald-Wieck and Greifswald-Ladebow as well
as in the Dänische Wiek there is rottening ice at the
shore and close thin ice in places. On the southern
Peenestrom there is thin ice along the shores,
fairway is mostly ice-free. The Achterwasser is
partly covered by about 10 cm thick fast ice. At the
ıorthern shore of the Kleines Haff there is about 10
cm thick, partly rafted and partly broken ice. The
southern part is covered with close 10-15 cm thick
ice, in the open areas small ice floes are drifting.-
Polish Coast: Open water occurs in the harbour of
Swinoujscie. In Stettiner Haff there is open 5-10 cm
lick ice, on the fairway Szczecin — Swinoujscie the
ice is partly rafted. In the harbour of Szczecin there
is very open 5-10 cm tick ice.
Central and Northern Baltic
Latvian Coast: In the port Liepaja thin fast ice, in
the entrance very open new ice. On the fairway
Ventspils — Lithuanian sea border there is open
water. - Russian Coast: In the entrance to
Kaliningrad there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice, off the
fast ice some drift ice is found. - Swedish coast: In
sheltered bays and archipelagos there is thin level
ice or new ice. Lake Mälaren: Covered by 15-30
cm thick fast ice or level ice.
Gulf of Riga
At sea, in the northern and northwestern part there
is close 5-15 cm thick ice and new ice.
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there is 10-40
sm thick fast ice. Farther out up to latitude of island
Kihnu there is very close 10-30 cm thick ice,
‘ollowed by dark nilas and new ice for about 15-20
am. In the coastal zone of the Moonsund there is
15-30 cm thick fast ice, farther off very close 5-20
cm thick ice. - Latvian Coast: In the port of Riga
and on the fairway Riga — Irben Strait very open
ihin ice is drifting, in the Irben Strait there is open
water. else ice-free.
Gulf of Finland
The ice edge runs along about the line Porkkala —
Helsinki lighthouse — Kalbädagrund — Kunda.
