Lettische Küste: Eisfrei. - Russische Küste: In der 
Zufahrt nach Kaliningrad liegt 10-15 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon etwas Treibeis. - 
Schwedische Küste: In geschützten Buchten und 
Schären kommt dünnes ebenes Eis oder Neueis 
vor. Mälarsee: Mit 10-25 cm dickem Festeis oder 
ebenen Eis bedeckt. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt bis zur 
Linie Kap Liu — Kap Suurna 15-25 cm dickes 
Festeis. Außerhalb davon kommt bis zur Breite der 
insel Kihnu sehr dichtes 5-15 cm dickes Eis vor. Im 
Moonsund in der Küstenzone 10-15 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon dichtes bis sehr dichtes 5- 
15 cm dickes Treibeis. - Lettische Küste: Im Hafen 
Riga und im Fahrwasser zwischen Riga und 
irbenstraße kommt sehr lockeres Neueis vor, sonst 
eisfrei.

Die Eisgrenze verläuft etwa auf der Linie Sepelevskij 
- Insel Sommers — Merikari — Viikari. 
Estnische Küste: In der Narva- und Kundabucht 
kommt in Küstennähe Neueis vor. - Finnische 
Küste: In den inneren Schären 5-15 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon im westlichen Abschnitt 
auf 2-5 sm dünnes ebenes Eis. Im östlichen 
Abschnitt liegt von Kotka und Hamina bis zur Linie 
Viikari — Merikari sehr dichtes dünnes Eis. - 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts 
kommt im Fahrwasser bis zur Länge von Kronstadt 
20-35 cm dickes Festeis. Weiter treibt bis zur Länge 
des Leuchtturms Tolbuchin dichtes und bis zur 
Länge vom Kap Ustinskij sehr lockeres 15-30 cm 
dickes Eis. Anschließend liegt bis zur Länge vom 
Kap Kurgalskij sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis. - 
Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 15-30 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt, außerhalb davon kommt bis zur Breite von 
Nerva sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis vor. - Im 
Berkezund liegt dichtes 5-15 cm dickes Eis, in der 
Zufahrt kommt sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis vor. 
In der Luga und der Corpora Bucht zusammen- 
geschobenes 5-10 cm dickes Eis an den Küsten, 
außerhalb davon eisfrei. 
Älandsee 
In geschützten Buchten und Schären liegt dünnes 
ebenes Eis oder Neueis. 
Schärenmeer 
In den Schären liegt ebenes 5-15 cm dickes Eis, 
außerhalb davon kommt bis Lohm im Süden und bis 
Isokari im Norden Neukeis vor. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Latvian Coast: Ice-free. - Russian Coast: In the 
entrance to Kaliningrad there is 10-15 cm thick fast 
ice, off the fast ice some drift ice is found. - 
Swedish coast: In sheltered bays and 
archipelagos there is thin level ice or new ice. Lake 
Mälaren: Covered by 10-25 cm thick fast ice or 
'evel ice. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there is to the 
'ine Cape Liu — Cape Suurna 15-25 cm thick fast 
ice. Farther out up to latitude of island Kihnu there 
is very close 5-15 cm thick ice. In the coastal zone 
of the Moonsund there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice,

Gulf of Finland 2 
The ice edge runs along about the line Sepelevskij 
- island Sommers — Merikari — Viikari. 
Estonian Coast: In the Bays of Narva and Kunda 
there is new ice near to the coast. - Finnish Coast: 
n the inner archipelago there is 5-15 cm thick fast 
ice, farther off in the western section for 2-5 nm thin 
evel ice. In the eastern section there is from Kotka 
and Hamina to the line Viikari — Merikari very close 
thin ice.- Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. 
Petersburg there is close 15-25 cm thick ice. Farther 
westwards on the fairway there is 20-35 cm thick fast 
ice up to the longitude of Kronstadt. Farther out to 
the longitude of lighthouse Tolbuchin close, then to 
the longitude of Cape Ustinskij very open 15-30 cm 
thick ice occurs. Farther off to the longitude of Cape 
Kurgalskij there is very close 10-20 cm thick ice. - 
The Vyborg Bay is covered with 15-30 cm thick fast 
ice, farther off to the latitude of Nerva there is very 
close 10-20 cm thick ice. - In the Berkezund there is 
close 5-15 cm thick ice, in the entrance very close 
10-20 cm thick ice. - In the Luga Bay and the 
Corpora Bay there is compact 5-10 cm thick ice 
along the coasts, farther out ice-free. 
Sea of Äland 
In sheltered bays and archipelagos there is thin 
level ice or new ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the archipelagos there is level 5-15 cm thick ice. 
Farther off there is new ice to Lohm in the South 
and to Isokari in the North.
