Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen Liepäja offenes Wasser, 
sonst eisfrei. - Russische Küste: In der Zufahrt 
nach Kaliningrad liegt 10-15 cm dickes Festeis, 
außerhalb davon etwas Treibeis. - Schwedische 
Küste: In geschützten Buchten und Schären kommt 
dünnes ebenes Eis oder Neueis vor. Mälarsee: Im 
westlichen und zentralen Teil liegt 10-25 cm dickes 
Festeis. Weiter Östlich kommt 10-15 cm dickes 
ebenes Eis vor. Bjorkfjärden ist örtlich mit Neueis 
bedeckt. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt 20-30 cm 
dickes Festeis sowie dichtes Treibeis, außerhalb 
davon kommt bis zur Insel Kihnu dunkler Nilas vor. 
Im Moonsund in der Küstenzone 10-15 cm dickes 
Festeis, außerhalb davon dichtes Treibeis. - 
Lettische Küste: Im Hafen Riga und in den 
Fahrwassern nach Riga kommt offenes Wasser oder 
sehr lockeres Neueis vor. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Die Eisgrenze verläuft etwa auf der Linie Ust-Narva 
— Insel MoSEnyj —- Leuchtturm Sommers -— 
Orrengrund. 
Estnische Küste: In der Kundabucht kommt Neueis 
vor. - Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 
5-15 cm dickes Festeis, außerhalb davon auf 2-5 sm 
dünnes Eis und Neueis. - Russische Küste: In den 
Häfen von St. Petersburg dichtes bis sehr dichtes 
15-25 cm dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts kommt im 
Fahrwasser erst bis zur Länge von Kronstadt 20-35 
cm dickes Festeis, dann bis zur Westspitze von 
Kotlin lockeres und weiter bis zur Länge vom Kap 
Jstinskij sehr dichtes 15-30 cm dickes Treibeis. 
Anschließend tritt erst bis zur Länge vom Kap 
Kolgompja sehr dichtes 10-20 cm dickes Eis, dann 
bis zur Länge vom Kap Kurgalskij dichtes 5-15 cm 
dickes Eis auf. Weiter westwärts bis zur Länge der 
insel MoSEnyj kommt Neueis vor. - Die Vyborgbucht 
st mit 15-30 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb 
davon kommt erst bis zur Länge des Leuchtturms 
Nerva dichtes bis kompaktes 5-20 cm dickes Eis, 
dann bis Sommers Neueis vor. - Im Berkezund liegt 
zusammengeschobenes 5-15 cm dickes Eis, in der 
Zufahrt kommt sehr dichtes bis kompaktes 10-20 cm 
dickes Eis vor. - In der Luga und der Corpora Bucht 
zusammengeschobenes 5-10 cm dickes Eis an den 
Küsten und dichtes 5-15 cm dickes Eis außerhalb 
davon. 
Älandsee 
In geschützten Buchten und Schären liegt dünnes 
ebenes Eis oder Neueis

ice. On the fairway Szeczecin — Swinoujscie open 
water, ice thickness is partly up to 20 cm. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Latvian Coast: In the port of Liepäja open water, 
else ice-free. - Russian Coast: In the entrance to 
Kaliningrad there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice, off the 
rast ice some drift ice is found. - Swedish coast: In 
sheltered bays and archipelagos there is thin level 
ice or new ice. Lake Mälaren: In the western and 
central part there is 10-25 cm thick fast ice. Farther 
gastwards 10-15 cm thick level ice occurs. 
Bjorkfjärden is partly covered by new ice. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there 20-30 cm 
rhick fast ice and close drift ice. Farther out up to 
‚sland Kihnu there is dark Nilas. In the coastal zone 
of the Moonsund there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice, 
‚arther off close ice. - Latvian Coast: In the port of 
Riga and on the fairways to Riga there is open 
water or very open new ice. 
Gulf of Finland 
The ice edge runs along about the line Ust-Narva — 
island MoSEnyj -— lighthouse Sommers -— 
Orrengrund. 
Estonian Coast: In the Bay of Kunda there is new 
ice. - Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelago there 
is 5-15 cm thick fast ice, farther off for 2-5 nm thin 
ice and new ice. - Russian Coast: In the harbours 
of St. Petersburg there is close to very close 15-25 
cm thick ice. Farther westwards on the fairway there 
is first 20-35 cm thick fast ice up to the longitude of 
Kronstadt, then to the western point of Kotlin open 
and farther out to the longitude of Cape Ustinskij very 
close 15-30 cm thick drift ice. Farther off there is first 
:o the longitude of Cape Kolgompja very close 10-20 
cm thick ice, then to the longitude of Cape Kurgalskij 
close 5-15 cm thick ice. Farther out new ice occurs 
up to the longitude of island MoS&nyj. - The Vyborg 
Bay is covered with 15-30 cm thick fast ice, farther 
off there is first up to the longitude of lighthouse 
Nerva close to compact 5-20 cm thick ice, then up to 
Sommers new ice. - In the Berkezund there is 5-15 
cm thick compact ice, in the entrance there is very 
close to compact 10-20 cm thick ice. - In the Luga 
Bay and the Corpora Bay there is compact 5-10 cm 
thick ice along the coasts and close 5-15 cm thick 
ice farther off.

In sheltered bays and archipelagos there is thin 
‚evel ice or new ice
